Desertdawg was on probation for 2 years while in his early 20s. Desertdawg had random "TASK" piss tests, twice a month. Desertdawg never failed a drug test.

I've seen it go up to 60-70 days to get cleaned out.

 in my 8th a day days it still took under 30 days

My body type could differ I suppose, never heard of it going over 30 days especially for a casual smoker.

All the more reason not to draft the stupid honey badger in any round!!!

Maybe. But as far as I can remember there were no character issues raised with Washington at all prior to the 2010 draft but there were with Dockett in 2004.

It took me 6 weeks, the only thing that saved me was that my "count" continued to decrease when I was peeing in a cup. Big dudes that puff all day can pee dirty forever.

Could his previous issues prior to the extension be the reason for us pushing a lot of his guaranteed money until after this season? Due to make a 10 Mill option bonus after this season?

Idea courtesy of Sando and Somers on Twitter.

Somers - "Cardinals have to decide by end of '13 to pay Washington $10m bonus."

Sando - "Daryl Washington contract structure makes it look in retrospect like Cardinals had some concerns, built in some protection"

This is me just spit balling, only because I know a lot of teams are doing this these days, there "MIGHT" be language in the contract that lowers that Option bonus amount if he got caught again, or the option bonus becomes null and void all together?

Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.

The kid needs to figure out his priorities.

If an employer willing to pay him millions of dollars says he can't do something, you'd think he would avoid doing it.

Instead, he hurt his team with his selfishness.

This sucks.

Per Sando -

"Getting word that $10M option bonus for Daryl Washington was renegotiated last month so it now falls in 2014, not 2013. Buys everyone a yr."

Which means 2 Mill in extra cap space this year that no one knew about. Probably to find a back up?

Good guy. Screwed up. Hurt the team. Concern has to be whether he'll fall off the truck again.

Dunno. Talk is cheap, but I'll be pulling for him. We'll just have to wait and see and elevate Backup ILB to a "position of need."

Maybe he got confused when he heard it was made legal in Washington.

It's a dumb move on D-Wash's part, but calling for him to get cut seems kind of ridiculous. We don't even know the exact reason why he was suspended. I'm going to withhold further judgement until more detail surface.

Still, he needs to get his act together. One more failed test probably means the end of his tenure here in AZ.

Stupid move for sure, but cut him? Please. And he needs to get in contact with Chike Okeafor. My buddy ran into him while snowboarding at sunrise and it sounds like he probably knows a thing or two about getting around the old piss tests for a certain green leaf..

Yeah I don't think they should even entertain cutting him unless he fails another drug test. As long as he backs up his words and avoids drugs and keeps playing at a high level once he gets back on the field then I want him in a cardinals uniform.

I don't even see the debate. OK, he messed up, 3 times. But this time it was made public. HOPEFULLY the embarrassment leads to him making a change. I met DWASH at camp 2 years ago. He was probably the nicest Cardinal player I had a chance to talk to. Super polite. Super cool. When I yelled his name, the surprised look on his face that anyone knew who he was kinda showed that he doesn't have an ego too (was only his second year. Before he really turned the corner and blew up into the dominant player he is today). He's a monster, on a contract that is more than fair for the Cards, and the leader of this defense without AW, to even consider cutting him is just foolish.. JMO
