Pretty much decided that I don't think Cooper has much FB IQ.

Hating the DJ Humphries pick because Lynch grabs his crotch ........ ?

You would think--since he has been in sportscasting and covering the Cardinals forever, and his son was a linebacker drafted in the third round in 2004--that he would know something.

Maybe he is just considering the fact that the Cardinals seldom use the TE.

Not sure this has anything to do with what I posted.

Glad his son has some talent and he has been able to keep a job. Still disagree that DJ was the worst pick the Cards made this year. Disagree that the Cards did nothing to address the Dline like he claims.

BA loves to run two TE sets so disagree that the Cards seldom use the TE.

IMO very simplistic take on the Cards draft by someone who has been covering the Cards forever.

By all accounts Bruce Cooper is a great guy.

But Good golly whenever i read any of his articles I feel like he is writing from Planet Mars and has no clue what he is talking about.

Just pointing out that his experience would seem to indicate that he would know more. But I disagree with his take on the draft as well.

BTW. His son was killed in a tragic boating accident in 2009. He played linebacker for the UW, and was drafted by Tampa Bay.

He and 4 other guys were fishing off the coast of Florida. They tried to loosen a stuck anchor by gunning the engine and ended up swamping the back of the boat. Only 1 of the 4 survived after spending almost 48 hours in the water. NOt that this has anything to do with the conversation. Sorry for the rabbit trail.

I like Bruce Cooper as a person but I do not agree with him much pertaining to sports. It's hard to forget that tragic accident.
