Huge win today for the Dbacks, and a great series, taking two out of three against the Astros in a series where both Oswalt and Clemens. Big way to bounce back after a disappointing series against the Phillies, the team is now just a game and a half back in both the division and the wild card. Brandon Webb faces Mark Prior in the first game of this four game series tomorrow.

Hopefully with the Cubs sweeping the 'Cards, they have had their fill with winning for awhile. I would really like to see the D-Backs take all 4. Zambrano pitched today, so won't pitch in the series - that is a good thing.

I'm hoping for a sweep or too at least take 3 of the 4 games. Hopefully Webb will be his usual self, and hopefully our infield can back him up. Go snakes!!

Good start, Webb retires the side 1,2,3 in the 1st, Green hits a solo homerun in the top of the 2nd.

1-0 D'backs.

Maybe Green will pick it up now that he doesn't have to worry about being traded. I sure hope that's the case. Because you better be playing damn good baseball if were sitting Quentin..

Wow, the grand slam for the D'backs, then the Cubs come back and so far have cut it in half with a 2 run homerun.

This is starting too turn into a Coors field pitchers duel.

AWESOME double play by Orlando Hudson...awesome!!!

Way too go Byrnsie!! Solo HR gives the D'Backs a 7-3 lead!! Keep adding runs!!

Edit: Congrats Stephen Drew!!! his first major league homerun gives the D'backs a 10-3 lead. Way too go Stephen!!

I think he'll be getting that ball back in Wrigley!

This is getting rediculous...let's hope Webb can keep things at 3 and give the team a no pressure game.

I hope to God this thing doesn't turn into another Colorado Rockies series where they pull within one run....*knocks on wood*

I was getting a little scared there in the bottom of the 7th inning. Just 6 outs away now, I say turn it over too Brandon Medders or Brandon Lyon for the 8th and Tony Pena for the 9th.

Time to get Webby out before he blows up....

Is it just me or are batters learning too hit off Webb? before the AS break he was a groundout machine, now batters are starting too get more base hits off him.

Gonzo just keeps on going. Despite his declining production in the field and the endless popups at the plate, it will be hard to see him go - at least for a little while.

Yeah, I've pretty much lost my respect for him as a fielder, but man. He still has it at the plate.

Edit: My god...Carlos Quentin is our blessing.

How are they going to get this kid (Quentin) playing every day? Sure he is pinch hitting pretty well, but he needs more plate appearances.

The problem is we can't unless we trade or bench Green. Gonzo has been on fire this month so its tough to bench him.

We should have traded someone, possibly Green, so Quentin can take over in outfield. He is too talented too send back too AAA. My question is, what is going to happen with Counsell? I hope we don't send Drew back down.

The most logical scenario would be to have Green play 1B and bench Jackson a couple a games a week since it seems that Jackson has been pressing too much as of late and needs some time on the bench to compose himself...

My only question is.. what will happen once Clark gets reactivated? If indeed it happens before the rosters can be expanded, then the most logical would be for the Dbacks to demote one of their relievers or perhaps consider sending Andy Green to Tucson.... No way would Quentin be demoted.. if so.. then... no mere words can express how idiotic that would be....

If we send Quentin back down too Tucson I WILL kill someone. That makes sense benching Jackson for a while, I don't know what too do with Clark. Before he was put on the DL I remember Clark struck out a lot, so I don't know what too do about him.

If we have too demote anyone I think it should be Easley or Andy Green.
