Just out of curiosity, what does a subscription cost?

It depends on what you're asking about. The cost for MLB on Directv keeps skyrocketing, it's over 200 dollars now so I switched to the on-line MLB Premium ($130 or the basic package for 20 dollars less) a few years ago. If you have a connected device such as Apple TV, Roku or PS3 it's not just a better deal, it's a better package.

Anytime they win a game with Kershaw on the mound i take it as a victory. The rookie Ryu pitched really well. It seemed like we got are bats going but it was to late. Rubber game today.

I would recommend a subscription to MLB.TV. You can watch/listen to EVERY game he does from the comfort of your own home. It's a treat indeed!
I appreciate the info. Being on Social Security and working part-time gives me a life but I have to draw the line.

Paying their fee for when the Dodgers play West Coast games, then having to choose between watching my D'backs or listening to Vin doesn't warrant the cost.

Now if Sutton & Grace were still in the booth, my decision would be a no-brainer.

Speaking about announcers, whether you guys like Joe Garagiola, Jr. as an announcer or not, today (Sunday) is his tribute day at Chase Field.

And he'll be doing his final 2 hours in the booth.

And the Cox tiling on the screen has stopped. :)

Made it hard to watch the game last night.

Goldy with the walk-off hit, 1-0 DBacks. Another series won (3 of 4).

Josh Beckett - complete game loss. :biglaugh:
An 8 1/3 inning complete game. Good for us!

I've never stopped to think of this. Is it counted as a complete game if it's less than 9 innings? Just as if we're leading 1-0 after 8 innings without getting a hit and they don't score at the top of the 9th, would their pitcher get a no-hitter? Or if a game is called after 5 innings due to rain?

... I just looked it up. Less than 9 innings could be a complete game but not a no-hitter. 'Interesting that they aren't consistent.

This pitching statistic in baseball is awarded to a pitcher when he or she has pitched every inning played and faced every batter in the game without the benefit of a relief pitcher.

In baseball, a no-hitter (also known as a no-hit game and colloquially as a no-no) is a game in which a team was not able to record a single hit. Major League Baseball officially defines a no-hitter as a completed game in which a team that batted in at least nine innings recorded no hits.

Great win and they take the series. Hopefully Hill won't be out too long because they need his bat in the lineup.
