So far the road trip has been successful as they head to Detroit. Let's hope they can keep it going.

5-2 Diamondbacks in the top of the 9th. Webb has pitched well, hopefully he pitches the bottom of the 9th. Counsell is hitting the crap out of the ball. He is making me eat crow and I have no problem digesting it.

Diamondbacks win!!! This was Bruney's best outting. He looked a lot more confident than in the past. It would be huge if he can pitch like that on a more consistant basis.

Diamondbacks take the lead 2-1 in the top of the 11th but Bruney gives up two to lose it. Bruney did not look like he did yesterday. The guys need to forget about this one and get a win tomorrow and take the series. By the way, Estes pitched another great game.

Diamondbacks win 1-0 and take the series. Great pitching by Vazquez who throws a complete game shutout.

For those who have been bagging on Joe G. Jr., you have to admit that he has made some really good trades this offseason. Right now the Diamondbacks got the better deal with the MFY's. Javy and Halsey have done better than RJ. Estes and Ortiz have done very well also. Like Grace said, this is the deepest starting rotation the Diamondbacks have had.

The first place Diamondbacks come home for six big games against the Padres and Dodgers. I hope to get out to Saturday's game. The fans need to come out and support this team.

I didn't like the Ortiz deal and still don't considering he walks everybody and has an ERA over 5.00. I was wary of the RJ deal when first announced because I didn't think Vazquez would play here, but when he agreed to come I jumped on board. Honestly though, I think Moorad was behind these deals moreso than Joe Jr.
