No, everyone was over the moon for Leinart back then, and Warner had played poorly in year 1. It wasn't until Whiz came in and started laying Kurt in 2-minute situations, then Leinart breaking his collarbone and Warner playing out of his mind with essentially one arm that the whole thing got started.
I wonder what the reaction will be when Murray has the usual rookie growing pains and stutters thru a less than stellar rookie season? There will be more excuses than a politician at a press conference.
