No, everyone was over the moon for Leinart back then, and Warner had played poorly in year 1. It wasn't until Whiz came in and started laying Kurt in 2-minute situations, then Leinart breaking his collarbone and Warner playing out of his mind with essentially one arm that the whole thing got started.

I wonder what the reaction will be when Murray has the usual rookie growing pains and stutters thru a less than stellar rookie season? There will be more excuses than a politician at a press conference.

Haha. There's a three-interception game on the horizon for Murray BW52, that's almost certain.

What I want to see from Murray, before I conclude that he's our true QBOTF, is if he learns from these NFL-level mistakes, and can avoid reproducing them.

I also want to see how he does as a team leader. At OU, he energized his teammates with his play-making ability. He made them way better, and I think they respected that.

It's a little different proposition now however. Murray won't be able to rely on a huge talent gap to impress his teammates. Things like his work-ethic and personality now become much more important. Maybe these have been tested somewhere along the way, maybe they have not.

But they will certainly be tested now.

I think the thing to watch is Kyler Murray's body language during a bad game.
It is not going to sit well with the Anti-Murray crowd, when he throws an interception and hangs his head afterward.
That is what good ole Alex Smith was known for doing at the beginning of his career.

Nothing really to talk about until he starts playing.

Got your point but we were discussing many different aspects of air raid and Murray - I came off mean - but let the threads die down the board naturally as they always have is my opinion - ain’t like members can’t choose what they click
