flamboyantly righteous!
I am not just talking about the game tonight, but in general. It seems like its not only somber here but sometimes it frightens me reading some comments by fans after a loss or series of losses.
Which got me thinking, do you think for the most part the players hurt as much as the fans do at losing and not succeeding? Guys won't admit it, not publically, but in the serenity of the locker room do tempers flare differently when the cameras and press aren't there? Sure, there are people in this league that only think of this as a job, but then there are those who live for this game and hurt as much if not more than fans most of the time.
Take for example, Shaq...he is known to talk to players and tell them what's up. He doesn't sugar coat it. If he is pissed, he will let you know.
Hell, some players can't even wait to get to the locker room to let each other know how they feel. Case in point, the 2006 playoffs, team mates Gary Payton and Dwyane Wade yelling at each other on the bench.
Tempers flare, I know that. But when a team loses, be it a regular season game or an elimination game in the playoffs, it seems the stigma comes from the fans...
I love this game, so I am quite frequently emotional throughout a season. Hell, I got drunk at 16 because of a certain team and their lack of wanting to win...
