Let him go.Cards could use his money to sign Dan Williams.
As a Cards fan...this garbage by DD going to SF and now saying "I'll either sign with the Cards, 49ers, Seattle or Rams" erks me. Obviously no one outside the division showed ANY interest in you. It's clear that the 9ers didn't offer you much more than a bare min contract.
Bet the house he's coming running home...but his press conference will be "We had a ton of offers, but I love AZ."
Reality is the Cards are overpaying for him.
I remember what you said about Dansby chasing the $...DD is the pot calling the Kettle black. NO RESPECT

And why shouldn't he? This is probably his last hoorah to make this kind of money in his lifetime. Might as well milk it while you can.
You would think Rosehaus could come up with a better strategy than this.
This has Rosenhaus written all over it.

Quote from the incident
Darnell Dockett, who last week accused Dansby of chasing “the money” rather than “chasing a ring.”
That's EXACTLY what DD is doing...looking for more $$$
unlike Dansby He ISN'T going to get it. LOL
Not one team outside of SF even called him in for a visit.
I have no prob with any player chasing the $, but don't go calling Dansby out for chasing the money then when your turn comes to bat...you did exactly what you criticized him for doing.
understand now!!?!
Not one team outside of SF even called him in for a visit. He got flat out rejected by 30 other teams..
This has Rosenhaus written all over it.
Well, SF has been a playoff team for years. Dansby when to the lowly browns.
Different animal.
If you work somewhere for ten years and someone offers you double the money to go elsewhere you aren't leaving? I am. Get over it.
You just want a reason to badmouth him. Its obvious.
Per Urbanour $$$ offer to Dansby was almost identical to what he got from Browns... Just sayin
guaranteed money was reportedly double for the Browns.
Less than a million apart, wow. I have to give Keim credit for sticking to his numbers. He's been right more than wrong when it comes to free agency.
If someone wants to pay him more than we are offering him, let them. It worked out ok with Dansby last year. It will work out with Dockett this year if someone pays more. Neither of those guys are changing the league at this point in their careers. Offer a decent contract, and if someone else wants to pay them a stupid amount of money be ok with it.
I don't know if that's true. Has Lorenzo Alexander been a home run? The RB from the Steelers? Ted Ginn didn't do much.
I think that Keim has done a good job of hitting home runs (Veldheer) and identifying/recruiting clear values later in the period (Dansby, Abraham, Foote, Kelly), but I dunno from a volume perspective if he's hitting better than .500.
I remember hearing a comment recently on one of the local radio shows - something to the effect that no other GM has made as many roster as Keim has over the past 2 seasons.
I guess it might be interesting to score each move... however, I wonder if any other GM over this period is hitting better than .500? My gut says no, and that Keim would rank at the very top in terms of success %.
I think that expecting a GM to even bat .500 is wildly over-optimistic. It's not a fault of Keim's--I'm not posting much because it feels like information asymmetry has finally arrived at Hardy Drive.
I don't really understand how you gauge success percentage, but I'd wager that teams like Seattle, New England, and Green Bay are probably higher to the top. I think it's safe to say that Keim is a good GM--there's no need to overstate the case.
2013 signings:I don't know if that's true. Has Lorenzo Alexander been a home run? The RB from the Steelers? Ted Ginn didn't do much.

Absolutely. The sour grapes and lack of respect that fans are showing Dockett because THE ARIZONA CARDINALS CUT HIM is disgusting.
And I don't think it's right that he says his only options are our division rivals. Look, I love the dude, I've written tons of posts comparing him to other tackles, and I understand FA, we all do, but those are his only options?dansby was a free agent ,DD has been always heart ans soul of the team, cheering his teamates from the sideline few weeks after his injury, when others leaders prefered being home, probably he felt betrayed,i dont think is right to compare the 2 situations
