ARZ should have went after Darvish, if anything to keep him away from LA. They really need another bat as this offense remains inconsistent.

Maybe, but Davrish is not nearly as good as we are making him look.

It's all about the bats. When your offense tanks this hard, your pitching is bound to cave.

The only way we can win games lately is for guys to have multi homerun games. It's completely ridiculous how this team cannot string hits together anymore.

I was just going to say that. Not a good sign when the manager starts doing things outside his norm and they backfire in his face immediately. This team is grasping at straws . . . and even the straws ain't there.

Yep. He seems to be a tad reactionary too. This is the second occasion this season where he left a guy out there who wound up getting dinged up, and then the next night he had a super quick hook.

I cant remember what series it was. I think it was against the Cardinals. I think he left ZG out there and he wound up losing it, and the next night he yanked Walker at the first sign of trouble.

Anyways, he seems to definitely carry stuff over from game to game sometimes, which you cant do and hopefully he will learn from experience.

Exactly. We are becoming way too dependent on the long ball.

Another thing that continues to hurt us is defense. I could be off in my perception (I'm mostly listening on the radio), but it seems like errors always come at just the wrong time for us, while the Dodgers are making solid defensive plays left and right.

This team keeps doing just enough to raise my hopes, only to send them crashing back down. So frustrating!

How many pitches do the Dback let go by that are right down the middle? Also, this ump sucks!

Forsure. A lot of people keep hammering the pitching. When your offense is in a funk like this, it's going to affect your pitching because the pitchers all feel like they are on an island and if they give up a lead it's insurmountable. I realize we have 4 runs right now, but they are coming at the wrong times. The Dbacks are doing a lot of things lately that look good on the box score but have very little impact on the game. Peralta and Pollock being the main culprits.

Obviously we are not as good as we hinted early in the season, but they aren't this bad. Right now they just look like a young team that's in over their heads with everyone pressing. The problem is, we aint that young lol.

Hopefully we can turn it around against the Cubs but I have a bad feeling once again about that series. The ballpark is going to be chalk full of nuts with all the cubs fans in the valley. Going to feel like a road series for the Dbacks, which is always disheartening.
