Noah will be a bust. Florida is winning but their big man can't get it done against Oden at all. Noah's defense is very suspect and I can't imagine us drafting someone with that little talent offensively, man Noah is just so mechanical, the opposite of smooth. He is like Bo Outlaw, Mark Madsen just bigger. As far as I am concerned Noah isn't even the 2nd best player of Florida.

Greg Oden is backing him down like a child..

Draft Brandan Wright who is a better version of LaMarcus Aldridge, often compared to Chris Bosh. Horford would be ok as well, he might be the next Elton Brand.

But absolutey NO to Noah. Hasn't improved one bit from last season, hasn't put up any more muscle and weight. He strikes me as someone who just loves to play and enjoy himself but without the workethic and determination you would be looking for in a top lottery pick.

Speaking to the media Sunday afternoon at the Georgia Dome, Ohio State's stoic freshman center took a jab at Florida's energetic power forward. "I think my mom wouldn't like me acting like that," Oden said. "She taught me better." When he heard of the remarks, Noah shrugged them off. "We're different people," said Noah, perhaps known as much for his chest-thumping enthusiasm as his second-team AP All-American game. "My mom doesn't care. I think my mom's proud of me on the court

If you don't know what Oden is referring to:

Sure makes him look like an idiot..

Corey Brewer stock just went up, Suns should considering moving up in the draft with there later picks to get this kid.

Noah and Horford's defense has just been bad. Richards is doing the best job guarding Oden.

The way Oden absuses Noah makes Roy Hibberts game even more impressive.

Noah will fall out of the top6 maybe even top10 depending on who declares. I'd say Oden, Durant, Wright, Horford, Yi, Hibbert, Hawes are locks to go before Noah and Brewer and Green might as well, Conley too if he declares. Really what makes Noah different from say Anderson Varejao, Mikki Moore, Bo Outlaw, Mark Madsen etc he is that kinda guy.

I want Horford and Brewer in the draft. Not sure how the Suns are gonna do it, but they need to.

Meanwhile Horford looks like he could be a Carlos Boozer and Brewer looks like he could be a Sprewell. Noah would be a good replacement for KT, but I don't see him as a potential All Star. I do see All Star potential from Oden, Durant, Hibbert, Horford, Wright, Wright, and Brewer. Maybe some other guys I have not seen play.

Brewer was very impressive tonight (the entire tournament actually). ESPN has him rated as the 8th best prospect in the draft. Seems he's in that middle ground for the Suns of not being good enough to pick with the 4th or 5th pick, but won't be there for the Cleveland pick.

He'd sure look good in a Suns uniform though...

After this game i badly want D'Antoni and the Suns to find a way to get Corey Brewer without using the Hawks pick.

This kid is going to be another Josh Howard.

If we could get Brandan Wright and Brewer in this draft, this team would be loaded.

*And yes i would give up Marion or Diaw to get an extra lottery pick to select Brewer*

well nastyone, u need to wake up. there is no way the suns will be able to get those two. U guys have to know that Oden is 7 foot and Horford is 6-8. No one ever really said Horford was better than oden. I think Horford has a better future than Noah. I think its like grant hill sucess vs lattnear's success.

Oden FINALLY played to his hype. Brewer I think is prolly going to be the best out of these group. Mike conley is a stud. he should declare before his weaknesses becomes exposed.

Noah might be a bust.

Now that the crowd has turned on him, the Suns are definitely getting Noah. The only things that can prevent it now are Atlanta's lottery chances, or if JC & co. decide one of the other players has superstar potential (doubtful).

As far as I can tell, Noah is exactly what the Suns are looking for in a big man, right down to the ugly shot they'll be sure they can fix up. He looks to me like Camby with a higher basketball IQ, and his only "problem" is that he stayed in school one year too long...

His only problem is that he has no talent, just size, athleticism and a lot of energy. Oden made him look like a girl he was backing down, I can't imagine how we could draft a guy who basically has no offensive game either. Marcus Camby is actually smooth, Joakim Noah is the opposite.

Um...Oden also made Horford and Richards look like little girls tonight.

why do u hate noah so much man. Oden had a good game. Oden showed Noah was Noah's weakness was. he isnt that strong. You know what though, Oden weakness is his consistency. he had a dominating game againsts florida but how did he do most of the tournament. Yes he was in foul trouble I dont see you complain about that. I think Horford should be the ideal pick for phx. I think the suns game style plays to Noah's strenghts. He is a good passing big man. he is a decent weak side defender. the phx suns play the same way as the suns do. draw the double team and pass it to the open shooter.

You say we should pick brendan wright? he went from Kevin garnett type player to Chris Bosh. I big drop off dont you think.

you suggest phx pick marcus williams with the 24th pick- He had a good freshmen yr but he isnt a good fit for phx and he is too inconsistent and injury prone.

finally, Shakur- tupac would be rolling over in his grave right now. He was so hyped out of philly and he never lived up to it. He is mentally weak and too "mechanical". Phx do not really need anymore player with confidence issues.

Horford did not have primary responsibility on Oden most of the game, but provided weakside help some of the time. Horford was the biggest offensive threat on the inside the Gators had, so Donovan tried to protect him.

As usual, Horford was a beast on the boards with 12 rebounds to go with 2 blocks. He only shot 6 of 15 against Oden, but was very smooth on his mid range jumper and had 3 assists.

Horford is listed at either from 6'8" to 6'10"; but has long arms and is very athletic. If he measures out at 6'8", he'd still be worth drafting because he is such a great fit for what the Suns need.

I read that Nicolas Batum (SG/SF) from France is considering entering the draft. He is supposed to plan to use the Nike Hoop Summit to showcase his talent. I hope he will wait one more year but if he has guarantees to be in the first round I will not blame him for taking the money.

If that is true and if he is still available at #24 he would be a great long run pick.

Browsing through all the posts, it came upon me that with this draft and one single trade we could end up having a great athletic team for years to come.

We draft Yi, Splitter, Batum with our 3 picks and trade Marion to GS for Richardson and Pietrus (s&t). On our training camp, we'll be able to feature a roman team vs. non-roman team fighting for intra-team supremacy.

Amare-Yi-Richardson-Bell-Nash

vs.

Splitter-Diaw-Pietrus-Batum-Barbosa

That'd be fun! :)

As a french fan I would change Splitter for Petro and try to get Parker (Barbosa+??) just to have a Petro-Diaw-Pietrus-Batum-Parker lineup... THAT'd be fun

Well, good luck to get Parker on this team!

But if with the Diaw factor we could sign Parker when he became FA, to take over the PG role from Nash, I'd be ecstatic. Way to go, Suns!

It will really be a sad day for this franchise if they take Noah in the top ten.

Hes another Scott Pollard/Bo Outlaw energy player off the bench and thats it.

He'll never be a 10+ rebounder, he'll never be a good defender or shotblocker and his offensive game is just downright ugly.

Hes not worth a lottery pick and after draft workouts i expect his stock to drop into the 20's.

Hell i even think he might be available with the Cavs pick after many teams pass on his goofy butt.

why does phx suns fans want to change the make up of a team that has won 15 and 17 in a row?

its fun to think that phx could get these players but lets not forget dantoni only plays 7 -8 players. If these players were to become phx suns they hardly play.

Hypothetically, let's say Oden & Durant do not come out this year. Say the Sun's have at the worst the #5 pick, Noah, both Wrights and Horford are gone. Would you go for a Roy Hibbert at 5. The logic being yes we are a running team but so were the Mav's before signing Dampier. Critics said that Dampier would be productive in the Mav's system. He is a great defensive presence and rebounder for them and allows them to play a half court offense and makes them a better defensive club. I compare Hibbert to Dikembe Mutombo because of their skill set and the fact they both happen to be 7-2. As the old NBA cliche' goes you can't teach height. Hibbert at 5, Lawson at 21 and Fazeckas at 29 would be a great draft because we get front court depth allowing Amare to slide to the 4, get a shooting big man in Fazeckas and a good PG prospect to learn from and eventually take over for Nash. For the record I also like Jeff Green.

hibbert is no dikembe. not quick enough. and dikembe was LOOOOOONG. hibbert is tall, not long. and he's never been the defensive presence dikembe was in college.

lawson would never drop to 21. i'd love him to do so, but people are talking that he may be the top pg prospect. and fazekas is just a waste of a draft pick. too soft.

and i like jeff green, but not with the hawks pick. he's just not athletic enough and rarely uses his frame to his advantage. i'd be ecstatic with him at one of the later picks, but don't think he falls that far.

Do you have some sort of inside knowledge you haven't shared with us yet? I'm just not sure how you are so sure you know what they will do.

Jeff Green reminds me a lot of Joe Johnson. The other guy to keep an eye on is Thorton out of Florida State. They may do a lot of stuff like Boris Diaw Shawn Marion. Remember who's doing the drafting, and remember that those guys make big money and the team is going to be in luxury tax land.

Joe

green doesn't have the handles that joe did in college. he's strictly a frontcourt player. and his athleticism is limited. for that reason i actually prefer thornton. and remember, i'm a hoya.

Shawn was not widely known, but hardly a sleeper. He was taken 9th in the 1999 draft. Drafting Shawn was considered controversial only because most people expected them to take Corey Maggette.

Overall, the 1999 draft was pretty good one.

Of the guys taken ahead of Marion, only Bender was a bust and that was due to injuries.

we also originally owned the pick that became artest, but traded it away. i was pissed at the time.
