It's still hard for me to believe Eno wasn't good enough to play last season.

What a terrible GM. :sarcasm:
to give some more context I heard on the radio, Eno said that Keim told him he believed in him even though the coaches were telling Keim "get that kid out of here.. what does he do? he doesnt play teams, he doesnt run the ball.. get him out"

As a Wildcat I want to root against Eno but I just cant.. hopefully this turns into a great comeback story

Once they put on a Cardinals uniform that's all that counts but of course it's more fun following a player you know.

I would have been happy if the Cardinals had signed Khalil Tate.

So how did keim turn him around? The article said nothing. Just told him he believed in him? That’s it? Would like to know what got eno to do what to get the coaches approval and support.

not saying Keim turned him around... credit goes to Eno here... Im just saying that Keim bluntly told him nobody in the building thinks he should be there

Same. That's why it's so brilliant. After about 20 seconds I'd be stumbling over my words and reciting chinese takeout menus.
I made it 30 seconds and wanted to angry run his ass right outta the broadcasting business. To each his own, I guess.

They were paying Drake $8m.

I can't believe Eno was hanging on by a thread while never seeing the field last season. They should have at least given him a look.

Why? It's pretty clear he wasn't putting the work in and needed an end-of-season wake-up call to get on the right track.

I guess my opinion of watching Benjamin in college carried over. The player I saw there was worthy of a few carries last season. I didn't see or hear about any problems of a work ethic there. The hanging on by a thread comment shocked me a bit.

If he couldn’t even find his way onto ST he was definitely hanging on by a thread.

Maybe with the Cardinals but I believe Eno would have played elsewhere if waived.
I think the fact he was a 7th round pick (right?) by his hometown team says that’s unlikely - particularly if he was hanging on by a thread in AZ. That means he was either outta shape, not taking the coaching or had other issues.

I thought I read somewhere that Keim told him in his exit interview that all the coaches wanted him gone - and Keim had to stick up for him.

I became a fan as soon as I saw him return kicks in the preseason, returning every one at least to the 25. How many years have we seen returners getting stuffed at the 10 or 15 over and over and over? With Eno it seems to be a given that it gets to the 25.

I can believe the sky is made of vanilla pudding but that doesn't make it dessert. Everything points to him being out of the league if he hadn't changed his attitude this offseason.

At least my opinion is based upon watching him play in college on a regular basis and not believing the sky is made of vanilla pudding without reason.

Sure, because his college career matters even a teensy bit when measured against how he actually came in and performed in practices last season. If he'd been a high-round pick, he certainly would have garnered interest. As a late-rounder, he'd be lucky to sign to a practice squad. Not like teams would've been lining up around the block for him last year.
