Are you kolbs cousin? why do you care if I boo kolb? get over it man. Skelton won games. Skelton showed poise in the pocket. I think skelton is far better and I dont like Kolb. See all those I's? thats because its MY opinion. Thx.\

If you want to boo Skelton, go for it. Free country. Voice your opinion. Make it heard.

Why would I boo Skelton? I have no interest in booing a player who is on my team. If he wins the job, he's my quarterback. Just like if Kolb or Lindley won the job. I'll let Whiz make that decision for me.

Your opinions are your own, but what are you going to do when/if Kolb wins the job and is our starter Week 1? Boo him and hope he fails? And no, I have no relationship with Kolb; just a fan of the Cardinals.

In addition, I'm not entertaining the Kolb v. Skelton argument over their profiles again until this is all said and done. And Fan Fest 2012 won't determine the winner/loser of position battles.

Bro, read my location.

Do you honestly think I have the opportunity to go to Fan Fest in the middle of the week?

You should know. You're an out of town fan like myself. So in reality, what gives you more of a right to be judge and jury than I?

Where am I judging anyone? Actually, I don't care how it was taken. I know I am not judging anyone.

Let people root how they want is my motto, but that doesn't mean everyone has to. If people want to gauge fandom then go to it. Get angry about it if that is what the person wants to do. I just never get it, and find it funny, but that is just me.

So, do whatever, don't know why I even brought it up to tell you the truth.

Skelton didn't produce, and arguably played worse than Kolb.

Based on the same logic, should fans have booed him too?

Yep.

Loudly too.

Tell the owners of said product, that the product is not acceptable via your voice. That is how I look at it. This is a business after all, I tell companies that they suck, and are not worth the money when their product is not what it was said to be.

Dang, people. The boos weren't even that loud.

It's not like everyone stood up and threw their beer cups on the field.

Was Kolb booed from introductions? My impression was that the booing didnt start (or at least become noticeable) until Kolb started slinging around bad passes and making it clear that if the defense was allowed to smear him they could have done it regularly.

If thats the case and he is looking just as bad and skittish as last year even when there is no contact then boo away, its well deserved, even if it is only practice.

There were no individual player intro's after the Pro Bowl presentation.

Kolb was booed after a particularly bad throw about 2/3'rds of the way into practice. (By then a lot of the fans had left.) Though I couldn't see that play clearly to tell the truth. Seems to me he was slightly booed once more after that.

Interesting note: Some people attended in their Leinart jerseys. I'm not sure if that was a statement or wanting to get their money's worth out of their purchase.

I will say I don't think Kolb looks particularly comfortable with his teammates. But I don't know if that's just his personality or what. Skelton seemed a lot more comfortable with them but that's just a gut feeling on my part.

Wow...the bold tells me you're an incredibly horrible fan for praising someone getting booed on the team you allegedly root for.

Me wanting the best player to start so the team I root for will win makes me a horrible fan.

Derr

I forgot about the batted pass and to mention how long Kobb was holding the ball. It was ridiculous. Speak for yourself. I'm not happy a Cardinal player got booed at "Fan Fest".

How callous of me boo a millionaire who sucks at his job.

I should be nicer because his life is so rough.

Booing is fine, as long as you are aware that those of us who disagree with you (and your opinions) think you all are morons for booing lol. Hey, your entitled to your opinions just like I'm entitled to mine lol :)

Are you guys seriously trying to make judgements off a practice session in June? Booing a guy at PRACTICE?

I doubt anyone is judging him based on one practice. The only thing I would take away from this is that Kolb's leash is probably shorter than I thought. I did not think this would actually be a QB competition, Kolb will win the job by default. But like it or not coaches do cave to fan pressure and if Kolb spends the preseason getting booed after every mistake then it will create a lot of pressure, both in the organization and in the media, for Skelton to get the nod.

This is where I am at with this. If he looks awful in the preseason games let the booing start. Practice?

Did you see him last year? Wasnt exactly a terrific display..

I watched Skelton go from the bench to starter in 2010 and back to the bench in 2011 to back to being the starter to back to the bench to back to being the starter and yet helped the Cards finish last season 7-2 while improving his QB rating vs SF from 10.5 in game one to 106.5 vs SF in game two becoming the first Cardinal QB to beat SF since Warner in 2008. Hardly indicative of a QB that you could be 100% certain would have failed had he been given the reins from day one.

The dude is overthrowing guys, putting balls on the ground, getting swatted down, getting picked during a walkthorugh with zero defense.

Thats impressive bad.

"But its June!"

Kolb has been playing football for 20 years. I didnt realize a few months off can *** you up so much that he looks like hes never played in his life.

Why would the fans boo Skelton? A guy who has never lost a home game as starting QB? 6-0. I don't think even the Philly fans would boo that. Well maybe.

Double Deuce was 89-149-1088-6TD-4INT at home last season. Not bad especially considering he had one game vs St.Louis and then had three straight road games including going to Philly one week and then SF the next.

Further, we're ONLY a decent QB (even between 10-20) from being a playoff team and having something to get really excited about. We gave up a 2nd rounder and a former pro bowler for a QB that can't even be average, and is on the low end of below average.

It's amazing that people continue to be so obtuse about what he's shown, I'd love to have any sign that he's ready to take the reigns and step up. Nothing. Oh, and even if he's healthy and productive, (a great stretch), he's one hit away from a career ending concussion.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if he continues to "perform" like this that Skelton emerges as the starter.

I was talking with my cousin about this and lamenting Peyton or even ANY top 15 QB being under center for this team. We have legitimate Super Bowl level talent everywhere else and personally I think we have the coaching. To me Whisenhunt has been amazing squeezing blood out of a rock the last two years. He shouldnt be absolved on swinging and missing on Kolb but his gameplanning and offensive schemes are better then we could have ever hoped IMO.

He we are stuck with ducks under center. I can imagine Peyton looks at the two situations now and wonders if he made the right move. Adding Floyd and Massie make our offense dangerous. Even not crying over spilled milk with Peyton we are 2 X as talented everywhere else but Quarterback from our Super Bowl Run.

I'm a homer for sure but I am so frustrated with Quarterback play and think its the ONLY thing holding us back.

Yes, it was just a practice :cueAllenIversonaudioclip: and the crowd was simply practicing their booing for when the season begins and Kolb is at QB...

:D j/k - Because I think that Skelton will win the job, and be named starter prior to the season's start.

Yeah, I'm still pissed at Peyton too...especially because he did visit us, and it did seem like we had a legit chance. Considering the circumstances and what he has to work with here, (Larry/Floyd,dome/good D) it's immensely frustrating that he chose the f'n donkeys.

Could you imagine how much more excited we'd be if we had Peyton under center? Everyone would have us as super bowl contenders. Now, we're in NFL purgatory until we find an above average qb.

Sucks when all the other pieces are there. :|

My notes:
*1 this was a walk through only, we can't judge everyone's true skills

* Floyd ran routs well and showed nice speed and hands

* Skelton had a better touch on the ball and seemed to hit the recievers in stride more often. Still has not learned everything yet, but this might be the year for him to really get a shot at being the starter. I still see Kolb being day 1 starter.

* Kolb throws much harder and faster, (Maybe trying to be too much like Brett) but without true presure and coverage he still was missing is targets preaty badly. I sat on the Def side and bearly heard the quick boos so it was not as big of deal as eveyone is making it.

* WR had a few drops but most of them still made the adjustments to get to alot of poorly thrown balls.

* Dline & Oline just sat around most of the day. :(

* Def was working mostly on reading plays then catching the ball during the play. Hope to see DWash take a few back this year.

* Fan Fest was crazy lots and lots of people. They ran out of Souvener cups and hot dogs, then only had Sprite and Diet Coke. I think way more peole showed up than expected. Lucky for us I got there about 4pm and only bad part is they didn't open the gates earlier. I was excited I got to take my kids and they are excited to be Cardinals fans now, that is priceless.

I asked my brother about it (he was sitting next to me on the 50 yard line) and he said, "What boos?" He didn't even hear them.
