Please name that game? Outside of 2 or 3 throws, he's been phenomenal. IMO he's better at throwing the ball this year than his Heisman year.

He has had more than his share of backfooted hail mary's that his receivers have come down with. His fundamentals are very weak.

Dude...its the Cardinals...

I have faith in Keim. He put together a good draft this year.

Cooper pre injury was good. Minter would be good if he were playing. Ellington was a big steal. Tyrann was a huge steal. Without the head problems, Swope would have been such an asset.

If youre hittin keepers in the 1st 3 rounds + a late round steal in every draft, you are headed towards bulding a great team.

From what I saw yesterday from Boyd I definitely want the Cards to stay away from him.

I loved the draft. I really like Okafor and Taylor.I think both guys will produce by the time its all said and done. My god I thought Swipe would of been amazing poor guy.

Now that's funny.

Minter isn't playing and Swope did have well known head problems.

I do like the looks of the draft class overall though. Cooper, Ellington, and Mathieu look like keepers. We'll have to wait and see on Minter and Watford. I think Taylor and Swope were bad picks. Still, getting 5 possible contributors from a draft class is pretty good.

I would like to know Gee opinion about johnny Manziel.
He used to appreciate talent over character issues

Tim Tebow's fundamentals are very weak. J Football is not Tim Tebow when it comes to throwing fundamentals.

I can think of one pass that would fit that description for sure, maybe two if you include one of the TDs against Arkansas.

It wasn't as crazy as it seemed though.... they were both targeted for Mike Evans who is 6'5" and has big hops.

I can be talked into JF since him and Boyd will be only ones there when we pick is my guess. The question with Manziel to me isn't his physical talent, more his head. He's not a bad kid or anything but the question is going to be whether he's willing to put in the work off the field. His teammates love him for sure but same was said for Leinart and once he got to the league he stopped caring.

Agreed with a very large caveat: that side-arm pass he uses to get out of jams is not going to cut it in the NFL. That's the first thing that will have to be addressed.

Honestly, I see Manziel as a project QB for a year. Chip Kelly will find a way to get him, just watch.

Don't a bunch of QB's use different arm angles once in a while?

ehow.com thinks so. Haha

Play the angles in the game of football. Drew Brees is one of the best quarterbacks at using different arm and passing angles to complete a pass. He uses these angles to compensate for his lack of height. If the defender is bearing down on him, he drops the arm angle and throws a pass around, rather than over the defender as bigger quarterbacks may do.

i too question manzeil's head, but not his heart. Dude's always talking trash out there. he SEEMS like a true competitor out there. then again, I thought the same thing about Leinart his last year. I got no clue.

all I know is, we haven't drafted a QB higher then the 5th round in 7 years. that's incredible for a team as atrocious as we've been at the position.

Again, from what I've seen from him in every game this year he reads defenses better, has a much better arm, understands the passing game better & shows more ability to lead a team to a win with those passing skills. He's a gunslinger IMO.

He is reckless and has a mediocre arm. He is short and is successful outside of the scheme. Manziel is a 2nd round project who will struggle with durability in the NFL like Vick does.

Me too. Especially since you never like any college QB's.

Au contraire mon ami. I have listed the ones I like this year earlier.

Bryce Petty - Baylor
Zach Mettenberger - LSU
Sean Mannion - Oregon State
Marcus Marriotta - Oregon

All have good size with pro arms.

Last year's crop, I liked Glennon. He lasted into the 3rd round and guess who is the starting QB for Tampa Bay? He is going to be the real deal. I pushed for Sean Renfree of Duke. I love my college QBs, just not all of them. I am the college QB guru.

Zach Mettenberger - LSU

I just don't get the love for Metty. He's got statue written all over him. The caterpillar mustache alone should scare us away. I'd be good with the other 3 on your list though.

I don't know. Glennon hasn't looked particularly promising to me, perhaps a Gabbert v2, but it's too early to tell.

6' 5" strong arm. 230 pounds. Working under Cam Cameron ex NFL HC/OC. Has learned to use the pocket, which is still the key in the NFL.

Did you watch the Buc/Falcon game this week? He was vastly improved from his debut.Looked very good.

Both tackle spots need to be heavily upgraded if Mettenberger is our guy. Only athletic QB's that can escape the pocket have worked in BA's system.

Mettenberger?!?! I've watched a TON of LSU games over the last few years and I have not remotely felt like I was watching an NFL prospect.

Me too. In fact I've often thought, how was this guy a top recruit? He's never shown me anything that makes me think he's a starting NFL QB.

I'm down to 3 QB's that I'd be ok with the Cards drafting, Bridgewater, Hundley, or Carr. I haven't formed an opinion on Mariota yet.
