:) Well Wallace would work, but I'm just saying Camby since he's the only one they said that the Suns were actually interested in. If we get Camby I'd also like Evans just for the Spurs series. We need a "dirty" bench player against them.

I'm going off the ESPN Trade Machine numbers so to get Camby (8.8 mil) and Evans (4 mil), we'd have to send KT, Banks & 1 other small salary just to make the salaries match. Evans has a fairly bad contract that goes on for 4 more years (he and banks are on similar deals).

Is Denver really gonna turn into the Knicks? I can't see them giving up Camby, DPOY, for that pile of garbage. It would be nice though.

Gambo & Nash are stating that the Suns want to use #24 & #29 to move up in the top 15...unless they can get someone to take Marcus Banks contract. Sounds like that the picks will be a non-factor in trade scenarios unless they can unload banks.

So it makes it interesting on how they think they can get Camby.

They said in the 15-18 range, not top 15.

y'know, they said the same thing last year. why do people think the 24 and 29 equate to the 14 or 15? no way. even in a deep draft. does any team think they want a belleni and rodriguez combo in lieu of a thornton, a thaddeus, or a nick young? i don't see it. not buying it.

I agree, but their team salary is pretty high after acquiring Iverson and having Melo's max contract kick in this season. No one is going to take Kenyon Martin's 12+ mil/yr for 4 more years off of their hands either.

I'd rather have Evans over Banks if D'Antoni learns to increase his rotation. If nothing else he gives us a thug off the bench against the Spurs, something Banks isn't.

KT isn't garbage and I heard about them wanting to get rid of Camby. Does he have a longer contract, because if so, taking Kurt who's contract will expire is smart.

according to hoopshype cambys salary goes through 2009/2010 season and he is set to make 8 next year 8 in 2008/2009 and then 7.65 in 2009/2010. HOpefully that is correct

15-18 range

3 guys with SIZE (something I think the Suns definetly need) in that range: Jason Smith, Splitter or Mc Roberts. 3 rated as 5th, 6th and 7th power rated forwards on MOST boards behind Julian, Noah, Wright and Durant.

Splitter

I totally disagree with your 'bust consensus' on all 3 but obviously you are entitled to your opinion as I am. Splitter is an excellent defensive forward something the Suns definetly need. If they go ahead and draft another 6'7" tweener I won't be surprsied because this is what the Suns do BUT hopefully with Kerr in there know he will realize that the Suns need A DEFENSIVE PRESENCE.

A defensive presence like Jsoh McRoberts? I am sorry, but this guy is the definition of a bust. I pity the team that drafts this guy in the first round. Also Jason Smith a center with the same standing reach as Thaddeus Young.

These 2 are definite busts in my opinion, I like Splitter but he has big time bust potential as well and is near last on my personal draft board.

Splitter

I don't think Jake's failure should or will stop the Suns from drafting a player that they believe can help them.

Please don't put words in my mouth. I mentioned those as the 3 guys in the 15 to 18 range that have size. I didn't say they all had a defensive presence but there is no dispute whatsoever with the defensive ability of Splitter. He is a PJ Brown type of defender.

So you are advocating once again for the Suns to draft a SG and SF? This team needs size and defense and I hope and pray that Mr. Kerr realizes this. I think he does.

Thats great, but rookie big man like Jason Smith that have written bust all over themselves won't help us any at all.

I would rather pick a Young who can be a perennial allstar...

Funny how Splitter is a PJ Brown type of defender, the guy is not even a big star in europe. He is averaging 10ppg 6rpg and less than half a block.

Splitter

I don't know if you realize this or not but Splitter played for Tau Victoria one of the elite teams in Europe. He has the length, quickness and attitude along with lateral quickenss to be a great defender. Stats don't tell the whole story and they most never do.

I think if his buyout has been reduced as recently reported but not confirmed he will become very attractive to the Suns.

He can't block shots in europe that is the bottom line.

If he can't block shots in europe he will be a non-factor in the NBA. If you think a mid first round big man with very limited offensive game is going to make a difference for the Suns next season you are mistaken.

In the NBA Draft you still take the best players, not based on positions. You don't pass up on young potential allstars or impact players at the 2 or 3 to take a questionable talent because he is 6'11... Teams that do that fail everytime.

We better get a big guy via trade.

Cap room be damned!!! Camby gets us "that" much closer to a championship/championships....

If we did land Camby I would expect a fire sale to move Marion in a salary dump.
