Holy crap!!

That HAD to be the biggest puss move I have seen next to JJ Arrington's flop.

I just watched that play over and over...what a pansy DRC is. Just get rid of him already.

This play is just unbelievable to me. I'm surprised this isn't being talked about more honestly. I missed DRC's role in it when it happened but I was listening to Cardinal talk after the game and I'm pretty sure it was Bill Lewis that was just distugusted and was ranting and raving about how DRC purposely took himself out of that play. Listening to him just lay into Cromartie I'm thinking to myself, c'mon now, things are bad but no one would just purposely not even try to tackle a guy and basically allow him a free jaunt into the endzone...

Sure enough I get home and watch the replay of that 27 yard TD run... I was left speechless. DRC litterally sees that its going to be up to him to fill the hole and take on SJ mano-a-mano and what does he do? He acts like a little girl afraid of a spider and decides to just keep running past the hole acting like the Ram player that is ALREADY engaged with another Cardinal is also blocking him as Jackson coasts for the easy TD...

I can't even fathom that a supossed professional would puss out like regardless of the score/record. I just think it speaks to much deeper issues on this team considering this type of thing is actually tolerated. Losing is one thing, but a team that has just flat out quit is another animal. This year is obviously a wash but should we lose out which almost looks like a given at this point you really have to put the coaching staff and yes the HC under a very harsh microscope. I don't know many coaches that survive an 11 game losing streak particularly when it seems obvious several players have just flat out quit on the team.

D, I know you don't post all that much on this board... but if you did, you would know that I have been ALL OVER DRC for the past two years! He is BY FAR, my least favorite Cardinal. Yes, even more than DA... DA does care. DA does try. What is so frustrating about DRC is that he's got the tools to be a perennial Pro Bowler. Yet, he's a first rate PUNK!
Anyone who chooses to discount the impact of this play, the impact of DRC's punkness on the rest of the team, doesn't understand the game of football. I gotta believe DRC has and is making many enemies in that locker room. When they show the clip of SJ's run to the entire defense, the rest of the team should take DRC's punk-ass outside and beat some sense into him.
On this play, as is the case in all plays... it takes a complete team effort to produce the desired results. Yes, Campbell whiffed (still can't figure out how, but he did..). It happens... But the key is that other players who are supposed to be in position to also make a play, need to make the play! SJ's run perfectly sums up our team and our season, as we have nobody who can make plays, and on defense, it seems we have very few who even want to make plays! So sad... and so pathetic!!

P.S. I've been behind Whiz all the way... however, not dealing with DRC but choosing to get rid of Matty has me seriously scratching my head and wondering just what is going on here. What game is Whiz playing??

If Luck is off the board, I say draft Peterson and trade DRC to the Texans for their first. Use their pick to take OLB Akeem Ayers.

I barely saw any of yesterday was having internet issues so I watched redzone.

One of the games, can't recall which, there was a 12 men on the field penalty, next play the coach has to call timeout because there were STILL 12 men on the field.

Sounds like we went the opposite from 12 to 10.

Two positives from me (and yes there is no need to throw rotten tomatoes, I stress positives for the sake of positives):

1. The stadium looked unreal with the rood open today. Beautiful.

2. Skelton throws a real nice ball.

"Dumpster" Dan Williams had his best game yesterday.

(4) Draft leaders....

Mitch,

If you get SI, read the article in the one with Drew Brees on the cover abotu Scott Pioli (former GM in NE, & now in KC). It talks about how he and Dimitroff in Atlanta do exactly this. KC & Atlanta look for guys who were captins in college because they value guys with dependability and leadershop qualities.

NE, KC, and Atlanta look like pretty good teams, eh?

Oh, and can we draft you to re-vamp the Cards FO? :D

Plus...with Whiz as HC/OC...it makes no sense to draft a RB in the first round if you are not going to commit to running the ball.

This is the strangest thing about this year, other than loads of talent still at the WR spot. But still, why draft the RB? Everyone said, for when the Warner era ends. So it has, and what do we have?

1. You'd have a new GM...a real football guy and difference maker.
Will never happen here.

2. While I agree that Whiz deserves another year...he needs to be coached up by the new GM as to what it will take to turn this thing around. Whiz is too pig-headed to see it.
He like many here this year have tanked it. Going through the motions.
3. New DC...and this time, an experienced one.

4. New OC...same...like Haley did in KC landing Charlie Weis.

5. No more over-the-hill has been players...get rid of them all.

SURE!

8. Draft: (1) If Luck is available...take him asap, otherwise, draft the best impact defensive player on the board---like a Von Miller, Texas A&M. (3) Draft kids who are tough and like to tackle---and o-linemen who love to block; (4) Draft leaders.

On Board.
