Nash is fresh, I like this at the end of the game
Morris is that PF. He is doing great for a rookie.
Sigh. Same old Suns...failing in late game situations.
If we can't beat a bad/mediocre Hornets team at home...it's gonna be a long 66 game season.
Definitely going to be a long season.
Nash won't be able to carry this team. Put him on a legit team and he'll put them over the top. But he's going to have a hard time with this roster. It's too late to trade him so you may as well ride it out this year. Maybe he'll produce some magic and prove us wrong. At the very least it's an expiring contract or he comes back again next year with an improved roster and isn't expected to carry them.
Few positives though: Lopez looks a LOT better than last year. He looks quick. (Well, as quick as Lopez can look.) Last year it was like he was playing in mud. Morris could be an interesting pick. I thought he wasn't a strong rebounder? He seems to have a nose for the ball and a bit of a mean streak. Could end up being a good pick.
You must be so happy. We are tanking just like you want.Steve Nash botched the play not Morris. Nash was supposed to cut inside but he couldnt get past Gordon, Morris did not have much options in the position he was in.
Robin Lopez is probably the best scoring option on this team that tells you how bad we are. We lost at home to a Hornets team without Jarret Jack despite Lopez and Morris combining for 28/16/3/2/2 in 50 minutes.
He can be traded before the trading deadline.
Running the last play of the game through the rookie on opening night was ill-advised. That said, Morris looks really good out there. He's got a strong lower body (reminds me of Barkley's butt) and a Dudley-like tenacity. I was down on him when he was drafted due to his lack of upside, but after watching him play I think he could develop into a David West like player for us.
