If he gets redeemed ,...pretty sure Daenarys has the resources to get him cured..... as Stannis' daughter was cured...

one thing I have always been sketchy on...stone men were created by getting greyscale weren't they?? so it cant be completely fatal?? wouldn't mormont just become a stone man himself?

If it happens I think his redemptive act would likely directly result in his death. He'd rather die by the sword than become a stoneman.

It does not appear to be imminently fatal but the afflicted seem more like a rabid dog or a zombie than a human.

Grayscale can sometimes be cured, but only on children. That's why Shireen appears to be cured, or at least the spread has completely stopped. An adult can live with the disease for a few years, especially if it's on one of the extremities.

well, the majority of the season was a bore, but they have unleashed hell the last couple weeks. hopefully that continues and they go out with a bang in the finale.

There's still so much going on that the finale couldn't possibly cover everything. The final scene only added further confusion.

Overall, it was a great episode.

Stannis wants a bit more this Father's Day. Jorah is still fighting to get out of the 'friend zone', literally. Targaryen mic drop exit, and Bronn. Perfect episode.

This episode was disturbing. Stannis burns his child and a Knight is a pedophile. At least the end was really good with the Dragon.

Maybe I was expecting too much but I kept reading this episode is shocking like The Red Wedding. It wasn't even close. Yes, it had disturbing moments but IMO nowhere near as shocking as The Red Wedding. I guess it was an OK episode but like I said I was expecting more. The dragon sequence was damn cool.

Random question - are the unsullied the shiitiest warriors in the show?

That is what is strange. When the characters were introduced they came off as like bad ass warriors? Now? They get disposed of like paper cups. Maybe it's just a product of being more effective on the battlefield versus a police force.

Even if that is the case, they are not coming off as very formidable compared to when they were introduced.

Grey worm. He's still alive, but recovering from injuries.

funny... my ol'lady made the same comment about the unsullied...

Battlefield vs urban tactics I guess....

fantastic episode last night IMO... Stannis,...I dunno,..never has been likeable, even in the books with more backstory...now,...I just kinda wanna see Ramsey flay him,...then dangle him from a tree so some wild wolves can eat him nice and slow...

Ser Jorah got his redemption it seems.... wondering if the adventure on the dragon is going to end next week as it did in the book....

Jon Snow made more friends in black.

Not sure how the Westerosi ebola works, but didn't Stoneman Jorah touch Dani twice? Emilia Clarke in grayscale makeup would not be cool.

Yes, they're meant to be used in battle. They were raised to do very little in the way of critical thinking and problem solving.

They certainly didn't fair well last night against the Sons of the Herpie, but I will try to write that off as being severely outnumbered inside that arena.

They are just slaves that were trained in discipline to be faithful soldiers but there is no evidence they have any war experience whatsoever.

they are trained to be the finest soldiers in the world.....however,...when Dany bought them,....she also took a few thousand who were not finished with their training.
there is also a huge difference between fighting in formation vs open field or single combat

Huh? She already used them in combat? Sure there is. Plus the talked about their training and effectiveness in past episodes. I think the bigger issue is a soldier is trained for the battlefield which is different from acting like a police force in a city.

Damn! Only one episode left and then another year long wait.

GRRM said he wants his 6th book released before the next HBO season. I hope that indeed happens.

I haven't read this entire thread, but I'm assuming two more seasons for HBO. next season will be white walkers take over westeros, followed by a final season where Daenerys destroys the white walkers and takes the iron throne.

Though with as much material as they've cut out, I suppose one more season is all they really need.

I know that's how it looks like the show should end, but I suspect Martin's got at least one MAJOR trick left up his sleeve... like Dani extinguishing the walkers with the dragons, ascending to throne only to be killed in the last episode of season 6 leaving season 7 to be total chaos for the conclusion of the story.

remember who you're talking to... magic johnson wasn't a PG.

First of all when the ultimate douchebag (you) says something it really hurts.

Second Magic Johnson was a forward that happened to lead his team in assists. He would be listed as a forward in the NBA now just like Lebron James who also always leads his teams in assists, yet nobody claims that Lebron is a PG.

Magic Johnson almost always was in a lineup with a shooting guard and a small guard (Norm Nixon, Byron Scott).
Magic Johnson almost never guarded point guards.

His head to head rivalry was with Larry Bird, a forward.

Putting Magic Johnson as a PG is motivated by forcing him and Bird into all-time lineups.
