I expected them to fly away in search of food...since they have not been eating....and I expect they did just that.
However... they obviously were not going to exit by the same door Tyrion entered from,...ya think??.... my guess is they have some sort of hangar door further back in the building somewhere and they are gonna go out that way.

Right, my exact thought. People do know they are dragons, and rather large, right?

I thought it was an excellent episode and even though I expected the final scene, it was nice to see it on screen.

Ramsey is downright awful, though. He, like Joffrey before him, is now pretty much just a caricature. After this episode, anything bad he does will just be "ho hum, same ole, same ole..."

Lucky for us, it seems his next move is to attack Castle Black, which probably means we will get a pretty epic showdown in the North soon.

Ramsey is horrible, but I still got more angered with Joffrey. Maybe it was that Joff was truly a weakling who simply abused the administrative power given to him or that much more powerful people allowed him to act on it without interfering because of that veil of order.

Ramsey at least does his own destruction. There is a level of respect in that.

And now that Jon Snow is free from his Nightswatch oaths (because he died), he can pretty much do whatever he wants--my guess is goal #1 is taking his Wildling army and going to Winterfell, where on the way they can kick the crap out of Ramsey.

It's not called "A Song of Ice (Jon Snow) and Fire (Danaerys)" for nothing...

Really enjoyed the episode.

Yes, there were some predicable happenings, but in order for the story to continue, those things had to happen.

As for the dragons - my theory below:

Tyrion being able to free the dragons and not be attacked is another sign that he is actually a Targaryen, and will be a dragon-rider in the end

Hopefully we don't have to wait until the end of the season to see more of the White Walkers....although I suspect that is exactly what will happen. Seems to me there is so much ground to cover this season with all the story lines in motion.

Funny you say this because I asked my wife the same thing about when the White Walkers are going to be added more

Pretty sure some of this is already in the show, but put it in spoilers anyways.
That's been a theory/discussion for a bit, even before this episode aired. It is said the dragon has 3 heads, as seen on the Targaryen sigil. Aegon conquered Westeros with 3 dragons and his 2 sisters

I hate to put a pin in your theory, but this did nothing to forward it ;)

Don't read the spoiler if you don't want to know more about the history of Martin's world, if you don't want that spoiler.

The show is just using this as sucker bait for viewers. The history of dragons in Martin's work shows famous non-Targ dragon riders, and famous Targs who have been killed for trying to ride the wrong dragons :)

To me this is most frustrating part of the entire show. Since they were established, the pace has been lopsided with that arc. Probably because that's how the books are. However, at this point....the White Walkers have to be the most methodical and leisurely paced army in the history of storytelling.

Ramsey has been awful, and has been that way since he was first introduced. He's been a psychopath this whole time, and will continue to be so until his end, whenever that is. "If you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention." I'm curious what his actions will do politically. He just shanked his father, The Warden of the North, and crapped all over their alliance with the Freys. He has the Karstarks for now I guess. The Umbers and Manderlys are the other 2 houses mentioned, but so far the only thing in common is disdain for the Freys. They were Stark loyalists, hard to see them being great Bolton allies.

That's not what the wiki says. According to this, Targaryens were the only dragonriders to survive the Doom

Much, much better episode. Glad they haven't dragged out a couple story lines I was fearful of.

Any scene with the Lannisters is almost always gold. Tyrion had the line of the night: if I ever have an idea like that again, punch me in the face. Ha! Great advice probably for most of our lives.

There was a lot of good stuff in the episode, but Tyrion's lines are at the top of the list -- with the dragons and when he accuses Varys of thinking about short jokes.

Also loved Wun Wun and the Wildlings showing up. The Wun Wun kill was magical. :)

Not sure where they are going with Bran--both he and now Arya feel so disconnected from the story.

conventional wisdom says dead people walk really slow...and I am sure waist deep snow hinders them as well....

of course...TWD wisdom says they walk real slow,...until you turn and tell your buddies we gotta go,...then suddenly they are upon you...perhaps they teleport when attacking?

the little nugget I found interesting in the Bran storyline..... was the indication it is not his destiny to be the new westeros internet network to the old gods...

I have always figured he was there to take the old guys place and link in with the trees... but the elf chick was pretty clear that after he gets finished with his learning he is going back out into the world.

side note...it was cool to see Hodor as a kid....would be cooler if they showed what happened to him to limit his thought and speech... since he was a stable boy, I am guessing maybe he got kicked in the head by a horse?

kinda like "KTHUNK! KTHUNK! KTHUNK!" beetle killer boy did....

Yeah, no, I know what I'm talking about. You didn't do enough research :)

They were the only ones to survive the Doom, yes, but that doesn't mean there weren't Dragonriders created AFTER the Doom. Here's a list of them all:

http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Dragonrider

The bulk of them ARE Targs, but when Targs started to fall in civil wars, they needed replacing, and dragons choose their mounts, NOT the other way around. Not all dragonriders so chosen were Targs.

Like I said, the show never goes into all that old civil war stuff--it can't, really, without being crappy--so they're cleverly using this as a way to misdirect viewers. It doesn't invalidate the Tyrion is a Targ theory, but it doesn't validate it either.

Yes, this was a nice touch when they brought Bran back in to the story.

I had a theory early on that Bran was going to get a Dragon....mostly due to him repeatedly having dreams about flying...

with the way a warg communicates with animals,...he would make a devastating dragon rider.

Who needs a rider when he can become the dragon.

Yes he would. Everyone thinks it's going to be Dany, Jon, and Tyrion, but Bran is a good bet too.

Nah. It's not even a book reader thing, it's a short story/novella thing.

Where are you coming up with that?
Everyone of the riders listed on your link had a Targaryen parent (bastards, or mother/ was Targaryen), or was from another Dragonriding House.

If Jon Snow and Tyrion ARE Targaryen, they would have been called dragonseeds back then - bastards of Targaryen parentage.

You didn't read deep enough into the dragonseed wiki, so that's still a big IF. Except for Jon; I think we're all agreed he's a Targ bastard.

There was no confirmation the dragonseeds had a single drop of Targ blood in them.
