Yes 10 second run off for a penalty inside of 2 min when the clock is running

Exactly. It's a rare penalty n I'm glad the umpire was right there to hear it.

The referee was very close to the line of scrimmage so he could hear a false count. I will take his word on this one.

I remember that because that was the first time I ever heard that rule and it cost us the game in FG range

I wasn't bothered about this game outside of Palmers two silly picks. I knew this was going to be a tough game, on record alone you could argue they were better than the cards, so being down 7 points at half with two picks thrown was still a good game played. This team is good... small things though need mopped up. For instance Bengals clearly saw Cards were leaving the flat open on pressure and could sneak out a RB pretending to block. They kept getting burned on that play. They won't let that happen going forward.

D plays so well when we are behind but they seem to let it slip a little when we have a lead. That could be the players letting up or being more conservative with the schemes when we have a lead, but if we can do better there we can put our foot on the throats of opponents more often instead of having grinding to the end.

The good news about these type of wins are we know how to win from behind and how to compete in tough situations and never give up on a game. This is the type of experience that is needed to go far in the playoffs.

Man I'm still pumped... still can't get over that last play though. That was the type of typical "shoot yourself in foot" moment that could have been decisive in this game. I can't believe Carson didn't just tell them "A penalty here sends the game to OT with a clock run off, I'm taking a knee so don't move, no matter what... better yet don't move until the whistle blows".

I get that Larsen may have been induced to jump because of the defense simulating, but that is rarely called because the ump isn't position to hear it until the last 5 minutes of the game and they won't call it unless it is 100% obvious and usually they'll mask it a little. Getting the defensive penalty was not a guarantee and in fact I would say it was really lucky it was called even when it is deserved.

This one went our way, but a lot of time they don't. It is usually a lot of little mistakes and bad judgements that have turn into or added up to big problems. If we can clean that stuff up a bit we will be in even better shape than we are.

I digress too much but when Larsen did the "pointing game" after he jumped and I saw the yellow flag hit the ground my heart sank. Fortunately it went our way, but totally unexpected... I mean when was the last time you ever heard that penalty called? I don't think I've ever heard one called in a Cards game and probably a few years or more since I've heard it in a different game.

It's not luck, it is a point of emphaisis with the officials, which is why the Referee creeps up right behind the LOS.

It wasn't luck because it was the correct call.

The fact that you cant let it go tells me that you thought it went against us, and you got all worked up to complain about it, then it didn't and you're like oh well, I'll come on here and complain about it anyways, as though it DIDN'T go our way. lol


It was the correct call. The opponent committed a foul, the Ref called it correctly and we won. You can call it luck if you want I guess. Live your dreams.

While your right to an extent, it is the clock that's in the stadium. IMO the refs fudge the 25 second clock & game clock many many times a game

Seahawks fans were screamîng about this on three plays last week. No, with a television clock, you can not ever count on it to be synced to the on field clock, shot up into space, bounced off a satellite, decompiled, hdcp handshaked and displayed in sync. Hell, it's tough just to sync audio w/ video for a directv receiver hooked directly to your tv by a 2' cord....

Love the never give attitude this team has. Palmer again did some head scratcher throws, but man, he then jumps right back out there and makes the most amazing throws. The guy has ice in his veins. I think he was trying too hard at the beginning because of all the emotion riding on this game. This is a new generation of Cardinals that I expect we should win every game instead of how are we going to find a way to lose this one like years past??!! Another great exciting win and we need to go into SF and get the win there.

I wasn't overly happy we blew a ten point lead in the last 6 minutes, but once we held them to a FG with a minute left, I had a ton of confidence that we were going to be able to win it at the buzzer.

nice to see Palmer put back to back must have 4th quarter drives... against the best two defenses he's faced all year. Also nice to see Catman nail his first game winner. Gonna need those confidence builders as the games get tougher and the stakes get higher.
