Speaking of players that should be benched. How has Darling not put this guy on the sidelines?

Hayes is one of the worst MLB's I have seen play. He might be a good OLB. But at MLB this guy is a speed bump at best.

He almost look sliek a guy that was roiding and stopped.

Tough to make plays when your DT is being blocked back into your lap. Also our LBs play much deeper than other teams. Why I don't know.

I repeat. My opinion is our LB's play deep because our CB's play deep, our safeties are often up close, so the LB's HAVE to play deep to take the holes in the middle. That's why screens and dumps underneath to WR's or TE's kill us, we have everyone deep to avoid the big play and we leave the underneath wide open.

It's the scheme. If we had CB's we trusted covering without massive cushions, we could play differently.

Its "The Scheme" The same reason why our DB's play 10 yards off of the ball. They are always running full steam ahead to the ball, allowing the offense to run misdirection and screen plays for big yardage.

The thing that excites me about getting a new coaching staff is that i think so many players are out of position. I would like to see someone reorganize the o-line, maybe move Rolle to FS, and move Pace back to a situational edge rusher.

Hayes had a bad game. So did the rest of the team. Other than that Hayes has played awfully good this year.

Hayes has been playing VERY well all season. I can forgive him one game.

Plus, Darling is hurt.

Wow, other than the packers game he has been solid to above average. He's the ONLY player left I want resigned. The guy works hard, never complains and performs when given the chance. Darling is a nice fill in, but all of his tackles are 7 yards downfield.

Hayes has been solid except for the Packers game. Solid hitter and sure tackler for the most part.

How do you play solid all year then get ran over time and time again. Strnegth is not a 'skill' that is increased or decreased from week to week.

Hard to say. But if you have watched any games all year prior to this one you would know that he has easily been our best all around defender. Been very very solid at plugging the holes and making plays. I'll give him a pass on this game. The whole team needs the pass :D

Hayes did not get run over time and time again against the Packers. In fact he was still knocking heads late in the 4th quarter as evidenced by his reading a counter and busting the Packer FB preventing a Green Bay 1st down. The play occured with about 7 minutes left in the game.

BTW: Strength can be increased or decreased from week to week depending on what type of workouts you do or don't do.

If it's "The Scheme" to get run over like roadkill, then Green is definitely a terrible coach.

Oh geez, I remember Urlacher getting completely blown off of the ball on one play at the Bears game. Can tell me with a straight face that Hayes has not had a good season, and that the defensive scheme that we run does not allow misdirection/screen plays to work?

One play? Sounds about right.

How many times did Hayes get run over like an old lady sunday? 6? 8? 10?

How many good games, (not just good plays, but GAMES) has Hayes had this year?

I mentioned one play, because that picture only displays one play of the game. Granted, the entire defense played like crap on Sunday, but to single out Hayes, when there are at least 3 or 4 people more deserving is well......disturbing .

Not just Hayes. But if you think we have a solid 'core' or 'middle' on defense with any of our DT's and Hayes your insane.

Watching ti live for the first time I didnt realise how our DT'd and MLB were like pee wee players comapred to the opposition. And they were lined up against the weakest part of a bad Green Bay team.

Thats because until this game, the interior of our line has played well.
