He was gruff and never could make it work in AZ but at least he left it all on the field. He was much like BA but didn't have a Keim to help him. I remember after leaving the Cards he coached one of the teams at the TYCO college all-star game. I covered the game for Rivals & Football Digest. At the post game press conference I can't even remember what question I asked him, but he was brief and funny with every answer to any question. He only wanted to talk about the future even more so than the game. RIP Buddy! You will be missed. The game is less colorful without you.
