Dragic is playing very well for Miami. 20 & 10 in a win vs Cleveland the other night and then 20 & 11 in a win vs Portland tonight.

I didn't catch the Cavs game but watched some of the Blazers and honestly he's playing the same way he played during the All NBA 3rd team season. Looks a lot more engaged and looks like he's having more fun as well.

Good for him.

Only one turnover tonight too. He's looking better and better every game. Really gelling with Wade and Deng. Wade looks five years younger since Dragic joined the team. It will be scary how good Dragic is going to be once Bosh and McRoberts are back. Riley has got to find some sharp-shooting swingmen too. Amazing what happens when you don't force an all-nba player to play out of position and yield to three nobodies on offense. I am happy for him, but I am angry at our front office for practically chasing him out of town, albeit passively.

Yea apparently Wade has been raving about how Dragic is the reason for his recent resurgence. I thought Wade was done but like you said he looks good since Goran came back.

Once Bosh comes back, that team will be scary. It should open up even more lanes for Dragic and Wade and defenses won't be able to focus on them as much either.

I'm very glad for Goran. I'll be rooting for Miami all the way thru the EC playoffs because of him... normally I wish nothing good for the Heat. Heck I might even root for them in the finals if they're playing the Spurs.

If Bosh comes back anything like his normal self Miami could be a very tough foe for anyone - young Mr. Whiteside is giving them a solid second force in the paint which Miami hasn't had in while. Deng and Wade are going great and they looked like they were on their way out of the playoffs before they got Dragic - I certainly didn't expect the transformative force he's provided, particularly without Bosh playing.

I'm still glad he's not on our roster - we are simply too far away from contending. Assuming we sort things out well enough to get there at all.

Still calling Dragic an all-nba player. Laughable.

He sucked on the Heat for the most time, he had 2 good games now, suddenly this thread is brought up again.

'Sorry Slin, but I'll take DWade's appraisal of Dragic over yours.

The Suns didn't know how to use their best Point Guard and Miami does. That's all that matters.

They are playing .500 ball in the EAST and Dragic averages a whopping 5.8 assists in 34mpg.
He had 2 good games lately playing second fiddle to Wade.

17ppg 5.8apg 3.6rpg for Miami all less than Bledsoe's season averages still.

just curious... are you going to keep referring to Dragic as an All-NBA player after this season, when throughout his entire career, he will have made the 3rd Team ONCE while averaging around 15/6/3 for his entire career?

Maybe he hasn't quite played "very well" but he has hardly "sucked". He didn't "suck" when he played for us and he's been playing better in Miami than he did in Phoenix this season.

How in the world could you overlook an adjustment period as Point Guard for a new team (saddled with the loss of Chris Bosh) and expect 20/10 results from Goran from Day 1?

That is so illogical, I am not going to say any mo................ :)

IMO he now has a clear role and that is why he is having success. That and the fact that D Wade is playing like he's 25.

'Interesting to see him attribute it to the arrival of Dragic.

That insider view says more than any of us on this board could say about the value of Goran Dragic (when utilized properly).

The sad part is that I don't think it is going to teach the Suns decision makers a lesson.

Come on BC, don't you know that Dragic became the anti Christ when he asked out of this team?

And some, like slinslin, have hated Dragic even long before. He didn't even like him last season when he was one of the better players in the NBA as a whole.

Maybe Suns fans should quit talking about the Goran trade because he wanted out and start talking about the big men the Suns seemingly didn't go after such as Timofey Mozgov, Enes Kanter and Adreian Payne. Kanter and Payne went for a first round pick.

Except whichever would sit on the bench during 4th quarters.

That will persist until anyone on the payroll previously associated with the Suns is no longer involved.

How do we know? The history is no mystery. :(

Mozgov and Kanter would both start over Len even when he is healthy. The Suns could keep Len on his rookie contract and decide which is the best center going forward. Kanter is blowing it up with the Thunder.

Yes, and sit on the bench with the game on the line under the current regime.

And would become disenchanted the way Dragic was when he was not allowed to fulfill his role.

Then another major roster upheaval.

And on and on . . .

SS - DD.

I was actually saying that Mozgov and Kanter are better than Len right now. However, the Suns would have had time to look at Mozkov or Kanter (if the Suns had traded for either) and decide which center to keep. Kanter may have a better career than Len but who knows. The point was the Suns would have had the chance to have both on their roster at the same time and then decide which one to keep. It upsets me greatly to see Utah trade Kanter to the Thunder.

Why don't we change their names to Woulda, Coulda and Shoulda.

I'd rather talk about the future.

The point is, the Suns could have gone after a legitimate big man without chasing after a combo guard in Knight (which are in abundance). Now the Suns are still chasing a big man. This is the Suns future.

I don't think so either, even though one has to be blind to not see it. Your best point guard should play point and your best shooting guard should play the two. They can both be "combos" but their roles need to be defined.

Not only that, but he is tearing it up playing next to Steve Adams. Who says you can't play two centers? Play two bigs, spacing be damned!

Spurs have been doing it all this time. Duncan is not a forward. The guy is long and tall. Just look how he rebounds and dunks still, he barely has to get off the ground.

The Suns have regularly been playing lineups with 3 guys 6'10 or bigger and Tucker as the SG at the same time. The idea that they avoid playing big guys together is completely unfounded.

And that equals power in the NBA.

The Suns are the opposite of power . . .
