Harbaugh brang to the Niners what I expected from rookie HC Whisenhunt, how about you? The smart-tough- disciplined Cardinals football team advertised has passed more than any team in history, more 3 and outs, more pressure on the Oline- defense and special teams.

Kurt Warner welcomed the Blitz and outperformed opponents to a 9-7 record in 2008, reinsert edge and a run threat and rolled to the SB, abandoned the run and lost a close SB. passing like our hair was on fire, same with GB 09 playoff win, run the ball to a 3 score lead and than pass pas pass pass pass pass. We were demoralized in a Saints playoff loss the next week, folded with 6 minutes left in the 3rd 1/4. WE HAVE NOT RECOVERED AS OF TODAY! There are few Kurts available in history much less free agency.... get a gripp.

Sounds negative but the blueprint to win the NFCW are playing today, The Blueprint to win the NFC and the Super Bowl - It is not rocket science or brain surgery, I've been screaming it at the top of my lungs win lose or draw and taking flames for it. We had more talent and wasted our window of oppurtunity, we are rebuilding now, we are still more talented on my grades than the Niners, But we are coached stupider- if that is a word.

Graves needs be Cardinal strong and supervise this team- all of it- his weaknessess are glaring in the NFCW. The NFCW has been bad for a decade and all the teams have accumulated top more draft picks each year they accumulated losses, much of this talent is now veteran. the Cardinals are falling but these are 2 high draft picks in a row.

We need to to FEED the 22 year old BEAN, invest in our defense and follow the blueprint Whiz brang to AZ. Fitz will have plenty of spectacular and HOF credentials from a more balanced offense that doesn't stress the rst of the team every drive and turnover. The run game is simply safer most of the time. Seems like Beanies 4 career lost fumbles out weigh 23 int's this year? Thats is not football intelligence that is football stupidity.

We are getting better, But our staff shoots the Cardinals in the foot, Harbaugh has them Niners great at fewer plays and fundementals. He does not ask his players to do things they can not succeed at, He stabalizes what they do well. We ask our oline, QB, Defense to do things no other team would ask from these units, I expect more of the same.....
And that is on the GM>< :bang:

One interesting development within the West: The 49ers have flourished in their resurgence because of their defense. Both the Cards and Seahawks battled back toward .500 after poor starts riding mostly their defense. And Fisher’s background – and history as coach of Tennessee – is with a defense-first philosophy.
In this era of offensive fireworks, the NFC West could be morphing into more of a physical, rough-and-tumble division.
“Our brethren in the NFC West have become stronger,” Cardinals general manager Rod Graves said. “But I feel we proved last season, especially over the last nine games that we can play with any team in the league. If we focus on our strengths and the things we do well, we will take care of business in the NFC West.”

well

You could just click on the link and comment on Rod Graves comments?
I still have the WTF factor- looking over these last few years.

Can you understand that not running the ball has screwed over our Oline, Qb's, defense and special teams? That by passing more than any team in the history of earth these last 5 years- We have experimented with the exact opposite of what Jim Harbaugh and the Niners have kicked our AZwith this year-
Can you understand that opinion?

Graves is a spectator not a participant in the process. He is paid well to supervise the team for the President and the Owner. He has not!

Smel, Once again you make a lot of sense, and once again many will flame you for it. You are right about Graves and his lack of urgency, (or even his snail-paced demeanor). He is so passive that even the most meek in the league look like flaming warmongers by comparison. He will not ride herd on this coaching staff, because he simply can't. If he had any idea about keeping to a time-table, we would have CC signed and extended in the fold, instead of making him the most coveted free agent on the market.

Whiz and company WOULD do well to make the run game more a part of the offense. That has been said at-nauseum, and has gone unheeded just as often. Whiz got us out of trouble by bringing in the right DC last year to make this defense what it could be. He has yet to produce an offense that is capable of that, (save for the one that Warner ran for him). There are no Warners available to do that for us now. We shall see how sharp Whiz and company are this year. If he cannot make this offense at least capable of competing in the West, this will be a wasted year, and that just might extend into 2006 before it gets better. I do not know, (nor does anyone), that Kolb is the answer at QB. So far he has only shown to be a question at that position. Skelton has improved slightly, but his footwork is atrocious, and he needs a QB coach that can get him to work those problems out or his accuracy will be poor yet again.

Good post Smel.

I like Brang?

I guess that is as good as a reason as there is.... you know to complain about me for a few posts...

Catfish fishinging for football conversation, pop some holes in a dogfood can, toss it in the fishing hole, cast some stinky liver on a #2 hook right next to the dogfood can, wrap the string around my toe and wait for a tug. I enjoy me some catfish catching.

Seems I caught me some Carp before and after the catfish. Hey Catfish My daddy taught me how to eat a carp! You nail it to a board and stick it on an open fire for 5 minutes, turn it over and let it cook for another 5 minutes- THROW THE CARP AWAY - AND EAT THE BOARD!

I still have hope Whiz will balance up the offense and that will take the pressure off Oline, Young QB's, defense and special teams, like most successful football teams in the history of earth.

It BROUGHT them championships! I hope The Niners lose every game forever, but they may add one for the thumb because Graves is a graded 70 out of 100 in total GM skill sets. on my Carp Board!

I couldn't get past the fact he used "brang"

I'm checking

Yea Colts have 8 more passes over the same period Cards 2920-Colts 2928

Cards have 1658 runs to colts 1788 , take 07 and Edges 326 carries out and go with THTs 143 carries a year as a starter and it gets worse with or without warner.

Go check New Orleans stats, they have passed more then we have over the last 5 years. I would bet that there are more (new England and Indy come to mind) but I just looked New Orleans up.

no offense OP, but your post is hard to understand. Are you saying that the Cards lost the NFCW because we don't run the ball enough. And that the lack of running the ball is Graves' decision?

if that's the case, why were our 2 most successful seasons with Kurt constantly airing it out? Why isn't STL better? How is it that both SB winners since we had our shot are led by 2 of the top 5 QBs in passing yards this year? Not one of the top 20 RBs this year will be suiting up in Indy in 2 weeks

Dont question THESMEL's logic. I have him rated as an 85 blue chip poster, with 95 elite potential.

Well, I agree with at least part of his post, we really should run the ball more often. I think we were finally poised to do just that this year but losing Williams for the season and having Beanie play at less than full strength for most of the season destroyed that plan.

The "wtf" was in reference to that fact that you write in a way that only a dyslexic individual could understand. I feel like I have to decode the stuff lol. I agree we need to run more but since you like living on Beanie's jock, why do you fail to understand that he was hurt all year? With Hightower gone, Beanie hurt, Williams hurt, Sherman being hurt for a while, LSH being the size of my 6 year old and Smith being a PS player, who was gonna run? This isn't quantum physics...
