I don't give a rip. Amare never wanted to play center, but he was the best option the Suns had so they forced him to play center.

Baynes shouldn't be playing this many minutes and he shouldn't be on the court with another big, he's just too damn slow. Small fast lineups destroy these 2 big man looks in the modern NBA.

Yes. First thought was Amare. No one should get worked up over what players say about what position they want to play. In fact, if you asked 10 players, 7 would say they’d prefer playing point guard

That block was the best play of Ayton’s career.

well, I just think your anger is misplaced if you're throwing it Baynes and not Monty and Ayton. Those are the two guys to blame here.

well, and Jones for making a bunch of moves to address the PF position that were just awful.

I'm already tired of Ayton's rushed, uncovered, 15 foot brick. He's 7' plus for f's sake. Survey the floor before rushing your brick.

The way the Grizzlies have improved they might be a playoff team. Their young talent is coming together.

I'm not worked up over what Ayton's saying. I get worked up over the fact that he backs those idiotic-pussified thoughts on the court. that's the issue.

I'm not mad at Baynes, it isn't his fault he too slow, but he is the one who the Grizzlies has exploited over... and over... and over... it is Monty's fault for not recognizing that the lineup clearly does not work, especially when Baynes is the one in the middle.

And yet he still improved the team! Crazy..

honestly, we were the worst team in the league. If he couldn't move the needle forward at all in any way shape or form, he'd probably be... well... next on our list of future GMs .

When I was pounding in Ayton everyone was saying "but he will get many FTs and put the opposing team in foul trouble"

He has ZERO FTs

He sucks as a big man. Million dollar talent and a .05 heart

Would put Baynes, Saric, Kaminsky, and/or Tyler Johnson along with a pick or two to get a real PF.

Yes, Monty is at fault, but it's becoming comical at this point that any UARIZONA alumni would seemingly rather eat fire than dare blame Ayton for anything.

Wow... our best lineup sees the court together and promptly takes a huge chunk out of the Grizzlies lead... suddenly the Grizzlies are not getting free paths to the rim and the Suns are able to space the floor again.

Color me shocked.

Watch them trim it to a 2 or 3 point game, then have the same awful lineup that built the deficit get put back together for the clutch.

I'm guessing Monty thinks the Suns do not have better than Baynes.

Suns desperately need to make a trade for an athletic 4/5.

Talk about short sighted. He has a less than great game (although he is leading this comeback) and he’s a terribly expensive signing?

Game threads suck.

He is shooting what 40%?

They aren't even covering him at 3. He is WIDE open every shot. They don't even run at him

The game plan now is double Booker off Rubio

He’s been playing his ass off the past few games inside and outside. He’s part of the solution, not the problem

Ayton needs to play inside. It was not all Igor.

looks like Tarzan plays like Jane.

and I will totally admit, that even though I voiced concerns about the dog in his fight a lot going into the draft, his natural talent/size/athleticism totally pulled the wool over my eyes to my concerns about his competitiveness.

This... the team is better than last season, and yet still light-years from being a good team.
I really don’t like Rubio’s game FWIW. Totally unreliable shooter and defender.
The lack of depth on this team remains a massive issue.
Just highlights how epically awful the team has been over the past many seasons...

And the sad part of this was that our entire draft this year was supposed to be about acquiring older NBA ready players who could contribute off the bench right away. Other than the band-aid that is Rubio, James Jones accomplished absolutely nothing this past offseason in terms of the roster, and he give up an additional first round draft pick and T.J. Warren to do so.

Right now, in terms of building for the future, in addition to Rubio as a stop-gap for two more seasons, we have:

Booker
Ayton
Oubre for one more season
Bridges

That's IT.

Saric is gone after this year, if not before (thank God). Baynes the same. Kaminsky the same. Tyler Johnson the same. Cam, Jerome and Okobo are worthless. Carter can't crack the rotation and in any event certainly is not our point guard of the future. Diallo isn't even cracking this bad rotation despite it having no interior players other than Ayton.

Could someone please remind me how James Jones is any better of a GM than Ryan McDonough was?

UARIZONATJ have no objectivity on the subject.

... how is it not the coaches fault for using a lineup... repeatedly... that sucks out loud? I have been plenty critical of Ayton's lack of willingness to attack the paint, for his love of long jumpers, but he isn't the one putting the lineup out there.
