Suns do not have anyone who can guard Valanciunas.

Would you rather have Terry freaking Rozier at an even higher price over more years?

Nobody thought his contribution would be this profound. You’re rehashing outdated information to fit your negative narrative.

Going away from the 2 big man look we've taken 10 points off the lead in only a few minutes.

Ayton needs to play inside more often. It was not all Igor.

I definitely prefer Monty to Igor and am glad we went out and got Monty but Igor was not the issue with Ayton's play last year. I doubt many will acknowledge that but it is true.

Almost every game thread had someone calling for Igor's head in the 2nd half because Ayton wasn't getting enough touches or was playing too far from the basket. That's who Ayton is, not who Igor told him to be.

I think Igor did what he could to work around it and it seems like Monty is doing the same only he has more leeway than Igor, using Ayton as a PF instead of C.

Talk about short sighted. He has a less than great game (although he is leading this comeback) and he’s a terribly expensive signing?

Game threads suck.

He’s not leading this comeback... that would be Oubre and Booker. And, go back if you want in other threads and you’ll see that I routinely rag on Rubio. I have never been a fan. And yet, I was ok with the signing because there weren’t many other viable options...

Well, when you look at the alternatives (Rozier's even more ridiculous contract, Cory freaking Joseph or the game G-League fodder that had already been a disaster for two seasons), it had to be done, in my opinion.

The player I wanted, of course, was Brogdon.

I am not rehashing anything

Every advanced metric Rubio has right now is atrocious. Career lows except like year 2

He is having a bad year

When I was pounding in Ayton everyone was saying "but he will get many FTs and put the opposing team in foul trouble"

He has ZERO FTs

He sucks as a big man. Million dollar talent and a .05 heart

They are supposed to. He's their #1 pick from last year. Still getting bullied by Eastern Euro big men.

Plus the Suns couldn't even get him a point guard.

How is Rubio such a bad signing?? You’re complaining just to do it. Maybe you’re just tired of using Ayton as a whipping boy so you turn to Rubio, who is the least of our problems.

Suns need 3 more players that want it as much as Booker and Oubre. Some of it is a lack of talent though.

Ayton + 10, Baynes -18... and that is with them playing a LOT of minutes together.

Monty needs to revamp his rotations. Tighten them up and use ditch a lot of these obviously terrible experiments.

Stop it

If he doesn't have the ball on offense he is a net negative right now. 41% from the field. 30% from 3.

When he is off ball everyone doubles off him and it disrupts spacing.

But it's his contract that makes him a bad signing regardless of the career lows

What advanced metrics are those? He's having his 2nd best year in eFG%, has the lowest turnover % of his career, and 2nd highest PER. I'm just not seeing these career lows in any stats that carry any weight. I'm not seeing them in any category really.

Rubio has done the job he’s been asked to do which is improve the flow of the offense. Again, another player who’s part of the solution.
