All of you who have already cemented Ayton’s career into mediocrity at best... Go back and watch how many times in this very game, he would get position in the paint, only to never receive the ball...
Ayton needs a TON of further development, don’t get me wrong. BUT, he also needs a team around him who can deliver the ball to him when and where it’s appropriate to do so. Valenciunas was constantly fed the rock in places where he was set up to succeed.
Ayton, just like any other big, needs players to reliever the damn ball when he’s got position. Which rarely happened tonight.

What's even more laughable then this teams play is the fact that people on this board can't go one thread without talking about Luka, seriously guys give it a rest wining about it every day isn't gonna bring him here

And this isn't about Monty. It's about the crap roster James Jones saddled him with.

If anyone needs to go, it's James Jones, not Monty (though I do like James Jones as a player relations guy...I just think it is foolish to trust him with a position and duties that he is clearly I'll equipped to handle...it's like taking a great Corporal and suddenly elevating him to General).
And the probably that Sarver is still calling the shots.

Suns GM's are de-facto Assistant GM's. There's no hope in sight.

Monty just drove the bus over the players

Who is not "following the game plan?"

Agree although Ayton needs to roll to the basket on pick and rolls. Coaching needs to work on this.

Holding it in is probably more unhealthy. The Suns and Kings are going to have to deal with it for a long time if their picks don’t play to their potential.

IF that's true (and I really, really hope it's not), then you're right. There is no hope and won't be any for the foreseeable future...

Holding it in? How about moving on it's been non stop for a year now that's not healthy

What I saw was him get the ball deep in the post twice and actually work AWAY from the basket to throw up a weak hook that rimmed out. And not once did I see him fight a rebound that didn’t come almost directly to him.

Would you prefer to compare to Young or Jaren Jackson?

Glad my sentiments came from your user name and not mine, seeing as I seemingly can't be objective about Ayton. o_O

I'll wait to jump off the bridge next season, but he's improved in key areas people were concerned about coming into the season

Okay so now Rubio has called out his teammates for not following the game plan and now Monty has

So who is it?

It's either Baynes, Saric, or Oubre.

No one else makes sense

Totally agree about the rebounding... but the two times I saw him take the jump hook, was when he had Valenciunas on him. I’m willing to cut the kid a little slack with not yet have a move to get around a 7’1” 260 pound hunk of humanity... I mean, how many times has he ever gone up against a man that size?

Saric has had his minutes eliminated so that means likely who Rubio was talking about

I think Monty is talking about Baynes

JJJ sure he actually is a big man, pg to centers is a dumb comparison, and comparing play is one thing, complaining that some one is not on your team is an unhealthy obsession and makes these forums threads redundant , we even have Luka threads on this board and yet he ends up dominating half the other posts
