On the plus side, 2019 is looking like a ton of cap room (though that will change and we don't have many signed either). As of now (if Bradford isn't retained and we don't know what Glennon is going to get, it's 103 million for 2019... plus whatever the cap rises by)

I think that is what this about. We could afford him for 2018, but 2019 and 2020 we're going to want to have maximum flexibility.

It always hurts to lose any young, homegrown talent. He is coming off of a down year, so this is probably the right call.

But man would this hurt if he comes back to form. He will be on a mission and very motivated to prove himself.

It will be interesting to see what he gets in FA. I was thinking he would do well, but so much has already occured in the DB market that I am not sure what he gets.
