That's exactly what I said when Steve Albert chose him as Suns star of the game. On most plays tonight, it was every man for himself. Schoolyard basketball.

Yea. To me, when Booker was going lights out with his 11 points in the 3rd quarter, I noticed after the time out, Knight seem to ball hog the ball more. To me it seemed that he was jealous and wanted to be in the spot light, and doing so, lost the momentum and lead. I could be wrong, but thats what it looked like to me.

It was a fun game to watch, but man do I miss the time of the Nash era.

Booker is going to be a star. It's worth watching the game just for him.

I agree, but I'd add that he will be a star sooner than anyone thinks. That kid has no fear. He loves going after the best of the best. That level of confidence in a teenager is very rare.

Right after that timeout Knight goes and misses a shot where I believe he didn't bother to give the ball up.

At the same time the Suns kept running the same set of screens and the Heat adjusted. Then we never countered.

Can't wait to see what he does on the court once he fills out and gains greater strength and speed!

Just a depressing game to watch with Dragic and Green taking over and taunting the Suns bench.

And I think I'm almost done with Brandon Knight being the primary ball-handler / PG. He had 2 absolutely horrible passes in the middle of the 4th that turned the game around for Miami. This is coming from someone that actually likes Knight. But he is a scoring guard. Not a PG. That leads him to taking time away from Booker which I think is a terrible idea because Booker has an insane ceiling IMO. Knight doesn't have a really defined role on this roster. Hell, nobody does. Knight would be PERFECT as a 6th man / scoring guard off the bench. Or, if he can return to his first month of the season form, as purely a SG. Stop trying to force him to run the offense and I think he'll be fine. Even when Bledsoe returns next season. Of course, again, this takes minutes from Booker which I don't think is a great idea at this point.

And TJ Warren getting 19 minutes the game after he scores 17 while shooting 50% from the field? No words.

Edit: Goodwin was pretty solid at PG. He has absolutely no jump shot but his ability to get to the hoop is pretty impressive. And he was doing a good job of getting other people involved. It's a shame that he'll be back to 0 minutes a game once Price comes back.

Hornacek is coaching for his job. The Suns need to let him move on and promote someone who is willing to roll with the young guys. This season is lost. Let them play, and if you stumbled into a few wins here and there, fine.

TJ must be getting tired. Not scoring as normal.

His playing time is all over the place, which I'm sure doesn't help.

Scores 17 points on 50% shooting and 37 minutes one night ... get's 19 minutes the next.

Is the Suns best player for a 4 game stretch ... get's taken out of the starting lineup.

It was an entertaining game to watch of course with the exception of losing. I was glad to see Hornacek give Archie Goodwin backup minutes at PG and not going directly to Lorenzo Brown. Archie looked good out there and perhaps his position should be backup PG. The Suns need to give him regular minutes there. I have a feeling if the Suns trade him they are going to regret it.

Devin Booker flashed how good he can be. He should develop into a star. In the meanwhile, he is producing now. Tucker plays hard so it's hard to fault him but as he gives, he takes away, such as at the end of the 1st half. Sometimes he just makes some bad plays at key times in a game.

Watching Dragic and Knight last night I'm really glad the Suns gave 80 mil to the guy they have and not the one that got away.

Booker is really impressive. He has the shot, he has size for a guard, actually been showing his hops lately, decent handles, a floater, and most importantly a high basketball IQ.

He just needs to know when to use that pull up jumper, draw fouls, and adjust to the speed of the game.

Goodwin freezes Bosh. Its so hard to believe a guy like Cotton got playing time over Goodwin.

Nice bucket by Goodwin, would be great if he had a statement game and forced his way into the rotation

I seriously don't get why Goodwin doesn't get minutes, even in garbage time.

He penetrated, passed to Len for the finish. Penetrated and drew the foul. He may miss free throws and shots, but he could easily put our team in the bonus or other guys in foul trouble fast.
Agreed. He makes the most out of his opportunities. That's why there was a discussion on another thread couple days ago about why Goodwin doesn't get more minutes in a season like this one where we should try and play guys to see what they can bring.

It shouldn't take injuries for a guy like Goodwin to play. In the past, even when Goodwin has good games, Hornacek usually DNPs or hardly gives him any minutes in the games after. Hope that changes for once.

Tyler Johnson has one of the dumbest beards I've seen in a long time.

If only they would give consistent minutes to Len, Warren, Booker and Goodwin plus show some joy and effort I don't care about winning. Get ping pongs. Trade Keef and Knight.

C Len
PF x
SF Warren
SG Booker
PG Bledsoe
6th Goodwin

I'm wondering if Goodwin is the doghouse maybe because he's a buddy with Markieff? Because after the Heat game he was hanging around with Kief and Green. Those two definitely don't have a great reputation concerning this year. Also Goodwin laughed during the whole towel incident. Maybe i'm reading too much into it but it just ran through my mind.

It's been suggested here before but I really have no idea. But Archie has seemed to be in Jeff's doghouse for a couple of months now which easily predates the towel incident. Archie has not played great but he hasn't played as poorly as other players that still draw court time so it does make you wonder.

Eventually it's unprotected. No matter when, we lose.

Yup, it's unprotected after the next two drafts. Our 1st rounder from Miami (top 7 protected) is also due by then I think.

It's pretty crazy that he's able to do things like this especially to a first ballot HOF player at such a young age

In all fairness, Wade was never in the conversation for an all-defense hall of fame. He is not Steve Nash level of terrible, but he is in the very next category. Hell, he makes Dragic looks good defensively.

He used to be good, he is still better than Dragic in man on man. Where Wade kills his team defensively is in transition. When he takes a shot he either admires his make or whines about his miss as everyone else is running the other way.

Dragic bugged me defensively because he would so frequently give up on plays, if someone got a step on him he'd just let them blow on by, then not bother to rotate to another player.
