WAS has some palatable pieces that I'd settle for. I was contemplating them the other day. I'm going back to ESPNs Trade Machine to check 'em out....
Ric Bucher says the epicenter of talks is Suns-Wizards right now with Sixers also unlikely to stand pat.
I just realized Gentry was coaching Brand in LA didn't he? Maybe he believes he can get him back to that level, I mean Brand occasionally still puts up 20/10 games when he gets enough minutes.
Maybe the Iggy/Brand/76ers pick for Amare/JRich really has some legs.

Elton Brand and a top 7 pick is probably better to have over the next 4 years than having capspace in 2011.
Not true. Brand's contract lasts way too long.
That's what he was saying.
playing off the Miami/Phoenix/Philly idea:
Suns trade:
Amare/JRich
Suns get:
Brand/Iggy/Speights/10 First From Philly
Heat trade:
O'neil/QRich/Beasley/10 First
Heat get:
JRich/Amare
Sixers trade:
Brand/Iggy/Speights/10 First
Sixers get:
O'Neil/QRich/10 First from Miami
Suns take on a rather bad contract in Brand. But honestly is Brand at $16mil for 4 years worse than Amare at $20mil over the next 4 or 5? they get rid of JRich, and get back much needed youth.
Speights/Lopez
Brand/Amundson
Hill/Clark
Iggy/Barbosa
Nash/Dragic
we'd get ourselves a high lotto out of it too....since after this trade its basically tank mode for the rest of the year to build through FA's.
Miami gets Amare which they would be targeting anyways. They'd have his rights and Wade's, and would have themselves a SF/SG in JRich.
Philly gets $30mil in expiring contracts, while moving down in the draft a bit. Beasley also gives them youth to work with.
"According to Fred Kerber of the New York Post, New Jersey's offer for Stoudemire included Yi Jianlian, Courtney Lee or Terrence Williams, and an array of draft picks that doesn't include this season's first round pick."
