Here we go: GSW, MIN and CLE show interest in Amare

WAS has some palatable pieces that I'd settle for. I was contemplating them the other day. I'm going back to ESPNs Trade Machine to check 'em out....

Ric Bucher says the epicenter of talks is Suns-Wizards right now with Sixers also unlikely to stand pat.

The Wizards roster is awful. Can't think of anything I'd want aside from maybe Jamison. (And a 1st, even though Jamison is performing better than Amare this season.) But how would you make the salaries match? Why would the Wizards make such a trade?

Miller/Blatche/Stevenson/#1 for Amare

$16 million in expiring contracts and a #1 for Amare. WAS definitely fortifies their team as these are all bench guys and we get youth and cap space. Blatche could be an interesting re-sign in the offseason if he works out here. Otherwise, we've cleaned up our cap. Now we would need to move on to moving Nash and JRich (and possibly Barbosa)....

WAS could run James-Young-Butler-Jamison-Stoudemire and next year Arenas supplants Young as a starter. Not bad for them. And we benefit greatly in that deal....

Brand is one of, if not the worst contract in the league right now. I don't even think Kerr is that stupid. However, if you think getting one 1st round pick to pay that bloated salary for 3 1/2 years is palpable, then I'm not sure what planet you live on. Even with Speights coming back it'd be tough to swallow. Some posters are completely myopic.

I know you're just the messenger Slin and not the creator of this trade, but hell is it awful.

The most striking thing about Brand now is that he doesn't rebound anymore. He used to be one of the best rebounders in the NBA, and there was at least one season in which he led the entire league in offensive rebounds per game. But now his rebounding numbers are significantly worse even than Stoudemire's. And that's saying something.

You have been posting some really awful ideas lately. Bringing in Brand may be even more lame brained than bringing in George Karl.

Yeah, Dalembert's contract is no picnic either, but I'd be okay with him. If the Suns are getting Iguodala back for Stoudemire, it would make sense to add a big for a wing.

I think the Sixers would want to keep Speights, though.

Stoudemire/Richardson for Iguodala/Dalembert/pick makes a lot of sense, which probably means that it was thought up by a fan and has no basis in reality. Also, the Suns would probably have to take back Kapono to get the salaries closer, and he's about as close to dead weight as you can get.

I don't see how Dalembert makes sense. First of all the 76ers aren't getting rid off his contract because JRich's contract is just the same. Second of all Dalembert would steal Robin's minutes and I doubt we would see them together on the court.

Elton Brand has one of the top 5 worst contracts in the league. Unless Steve Kerr is vastly stupider than even I've imagined the Suns aren't taking that contract on. Stop posting about it, its not going to happen and if it did, it would be amazingly ********.

I highly doubt Miami would buy into that trade, because whiloe aswell as losing Beasley, who they want to build around with Wade, they lose the expiring contracts they wanted to keep to give them flexibility this summer.

Brand's contract worries me alot, plus he is quite injury prone.

After the top-6 that's probably who I'd be interested in. but I like a lot of other Draft Prospects; as of right now my top 6 are set and I currently have Udoh at #8!


I'd like to see Solomon Alabi C Florida State, Hassan Whiteside C Marshall, and Paul George G/F Fresno State before the season ends though but not sure those guys would be ranked that high or not?? Have game-film of most of the other 1st Round talent.

Simmons, Yi, Williams, 2011 unprotected Nets pick, Golden State 2012 pick, Dallas 2010 pick, Nets 2010 2nd rounder.

Hell yes. It's not a great package, but it's the best they're likely to do. Yi, Williams, and two future firsts would be something most of us could stomach.
