When Sylar was captured, Bennett said to him something like "your powers wont work here", which would lead me to believe that Bennett had built something that would cancel out the abilities of those with powers.

now, NOBODY really knew what kind of abilities that Sylar had. Bennet, Eden, the Hatian had never seen Sylar use his powers, so how could they have known that he had a telekenesis ability.

Eden may have gone down to where they were holding Sylar, turned off whatever Bennett had built (so she could use here psychic ability), and was going to make Sylar kill himself. he was then able to use his telekenesis, and pull Eden through the window....using the gun as the object of his telekenesis.

and just to throw this out there. i was originally under the impression that beyond just being to erase people's memories, the Haitian was also able to block someone from using there power.

but i now think that Bennett has that ability. he kept Matt (the telepathic guy) from reading his mind. he was also NEVER around when Isaac tried to use his painting the future ability, and left the room when Eden made him shoot up so he could paint. he is also never around when the Hatian erases people's minds.

with Mr. Bennett having that ability, he made have constructed something that mimics his ability.

"the Haitian was also able to block someone from using there power" - I belive this is a true statement, he was alone (meaning no Mr. Bennett) in the bar with the cop and he could not read his thoughts

"but i now think that Bennett has that ability" - He might also or I think he may have another power that we haven't seen in use yet.

"what kind of abilities that Sylar had" - the ability to figure out how things tick, this is one of his first and foremost talents that he did not steal, this is his own. hmmm, people, brains, how securty in a room is set up and what is needed to get passed it.

what i meant was how could anyone know which abilities Sylar had stolen from people? without the telekenesis power that he took, he would not have been able to break the glass. Bennett did not necessarily know that he had that power, so therefore could not have prepared for that.

I think from the way the various murders were committed & whatnot, they had a pretty good idea that he had telekenisis...as far as the rest of his abilities, I'd really like to know!

The main cast, not all of whom have been shown to possess powers, currently consists of:

• Mr. Bennet is Claire's adoptive father who works for an unnamed organization dealing with the abduction of people with superhuman abilities.
• Claire Bennet a cheerleader who lives in Odessa, Texas with the ability of spontaneous regeneration.
  
• Simone Deveaux an art dealer who sells paintings created by her ex-boyfriend, Isaac, in her gallery.
• D.L. Hawkins an escaped criminal with the power to alter his physical tangibility and phase through solid objects, both inanimate and organic.
• Isaac Mendez an artist living in New York who can paint random future events during precognitive trances. He also writes and draws a comic book named 9th Wonders
  
• Hiro Nakamura a programmer from Tokyo with the ability to manipulate the time-space continuum.
  
• Matt Parkman a Los Angeles police officer with the ability to hear other peoples thoughts.
  
• Nathan Petrelli a New York congressional candidate with the ability of self-propelled flight.
• Peter Petrelli a former hospice nurse and Nathan's younger brother. He has the ability to temporarily mimic the powers of others when in close proximity. He also experiences clairvoyent dreams.
• Micah Sanders the son of D.L. and Niki. He is a child prodigy and has an unspecified power that, so far, has only been used to temporarily repair an out-of-order phone booth.
  
• Niki Sanders the wife of D.L. and mother to Micah. A former internet stripper from Las Vegas, she has an alternate personality that identifies itself as Niki's dead sister, Jessica. When Jessica has taken control, she exhibits superhuman strength.
  
• Mohinder Suresh a genetics professor from India who travels to New York to investigate the death of his father, Chandra. Through his investigations, he comes into contact with people his father listed as possessing superhuman abilities.

I have every episode sitting (and filling up) my DVR, but have yet to watch an ep. I have come close to deleting them all three times before, the latest being last night.

do it, quickly. dan refused to watch it when it was on, but then i got him hooked by making him watch the repeats the last few weeks. seriously, you could knock those out in no time.
