One of the best shows on TV not hard to watch at all just have to follow multiple story lines, whats the big deal?

It isn't in the least bit hard to follow...it's stunningly simplistic because it rarely gives depth to anything. That's the problem. It's so shallow any more it's crazy. I'm giving it maybe one more episode.

I'm bored with the twins, the rest of the storyline I like. I just don't find their particular abilities all that interesting or intriguing.

The twins better do something of significance this season because right now their portion of the show is just not holding my interest.

And nobody thinks that Mohinder and Parkman make a cute couple with their little adopted daughter?

Not that there is anything wrong with that...

Molly has two daddies? I do like how they've returned Parkman to his original angst: Are you really a hero if it means putting innocent people at risk? It's right for him to challenge Mohinder on this. He remains true to his original policemen oath: Protect the innocent. He's only committed to the other empowered folks as long as they suit his instinct to protect the girl. He's a man without an agenda, and I prefer that in my heroes, I think.

My first guess is that Syler didn't really kill the girl, that it was all part of a bigger illusion in which he remains unaware of the grand scheme of illusions. Allowing him to think he had killed the woman was part of the brilliant plan to keep him off the path of the truth.

Yeah, that's really old and needs to stop. Three episodes of 'Oh God, we can't make it...oh no, we're trapped...oh no, I've used my power...let's run!' It seems like that's done, now that they're with the other guy. I hope that is, anyway.

Most of the other story lines are hugely intriguing, but the show format simply sucks.

Oh, and who else thinks the Irish people are so painfully fake? I mean, WOW. Get someone who can actually pull it off!

I wanna know why the illusionist chick didn't just make herself appear like a can of soup or something. I felt that was a plot hole. She could have done plenty to get away from him.
Why would she have felt she needed to get away? She was seducing him with sexual possibilities and he acted like he was buying into it...then he shoved a coffee mug into her noggin.

I'm certainly liking this season less than S1, but it's not because of the number of storylines--they had that in S1, too. It's that the storylines don't have a common-purpose, yet. Each one is working towards a different goal.

I'm sure that will shift eventually, but in season 1 they set it up pretty quickly that a bomb was going to go off and kill a whole bunch of people. You had people working to either stop it, people that were obstacles to stopping it, and people who were actively working to make it happen. So for in S2, you have a bunch of people working on wholey different things, seemingly without a common thread.

I mean in the few minutes in between getting clocked in the noggin & him cutting her head open.

Wonder Twin Powers activate...FORM OF A BORING STORYLINE.

The Twin's storyline stinks and is unnecessary. This season is starting clunky for me. I hope things pick up soon. Now that Sylar is back things should get interesting again.

Oh, one other thing: When Peter tells the Irish guy, "what's stopping me from doing the same thing to you and walking out of here?"

And then the Irish guy holds up a box full of Peter's things, which presumably hold the key to Peter's identity.

WTF? Why did Peter just go, "oh. damn. I guess I'd better do what you want me to," instead of just doing what he just threatened to do a moment ago with the simple extra step of taking the box before he "walked out of there."

I'm okay with holes that you need to have in order for a sci-fi/fantasy story to make sense, but this was just lazy writing, IMO.

No big deal. Just a little bothersome.

I made that complaint through out the first season, but just decided to stop and try to enjoy it. I have moments like this one where it's difficult. I still think the show lacks any root in historical myths and legends, which is where the real power of these type of stories would be found.

That particular scene bothered the crap out of me, too.
The only explanation I can kind of come up with is that it seems as though Peter was bluffing, since he couldn't control his powers in the next episode. He seems to have to be under pressure to perform (opposite of most men, apparently!) and wasn't sure if he COULD do what he just did to the other guys & walk out of there.

I think Sylar TOOK her power...he just can't use it. Unless that's what you meant.

Well, that will remain to be seen. :) Of course, she did say that he would be well again, so I guess that makes sense.

I'm thinking he's stuck in the world she created until he can figure his way out. He killed her but no the illusion, only she could change the illusion.

Sort of like when Neo was in the train station in the Matrix.

Ok I just finished episode 11 in season 1. I like it so far. But I dont love it. Is it worth sticking out? Does this get better?

I am asking instead of reading because I dont want anything to be spoiled.

Was bummed there was no Peter in this episode. Pretty good stuff, though, anyway.

I think we should make a Heroes spoiler thread, kinda like the one we have for Lost. That way, we don't have to click on the spoiler thing all the freaking time.

Just my opinion. If you haven't seen it yet, then don't read the thread.

But anyway, wow ...

Surprised to see Sylar in the middle of the desert. Will be interesting to see what transpires between him and the twins. Am thinking that he will gain their trust and then use them for his own purposes. I don't think he'll be able to kill them both and take their powers. Besides, it appears that their power only works in tandem, so it will be interesting to see how, if he DOES attempt to take their power, how that will work out.

Was pretty surprised to hear about Parkman's dad. Wow.

I like the new chick from New Orleans. I think she's gonna wind up being pretty bad ass.

The Claire-flying guy thing was kinda cute, kinda blah. Wouldn't it be weird if he turned out to be Claire's brother?

I know there are others things that made me go "wow" throughout the episode, but I just can't remember them now.

I'm going to make this thread it, seems lame to have a thread dedicated to the show and not have spoilers in it.

BTW, the best part of this show was the preview for next week: Kristin Bell!

How did I KNOW you were gonna say that, lol?! :D

Actually, I though the preview was lame, but that's only cause she's all they really focused on. Guess there are a lot of Chandler Mikes in the world. :)

BTW, I though it was weird that Claire was going to the library, but she didn't take a purse, a backpack or anything else. I know we're discussed plot holes here and usually I just overlook them, but wow. A high school girl NEVER leaves home without a purse, especially if she is going on a date and/or lying to her parents!
