From Rotoworld......
D.J. Humphries - T - Cardinals
Cardinals coach Bruce Arians called 2015 first-round pick D.J. Humphries "more than ready" to take over at right tackle.

Bobby Massie bolted to Chicago, freeing up the post opposite LT Jared Veldheer. The 24th overall pick in last year's draft, Humphries was a healthy scratch for all 16 games as a rookie. Arians insisted Humphries had a "great November, December, and all the way through to today." Coming out of college, NFL.com O-Line guru Lance Zierlein compared Humphries' skill set to D'Brickashaw Ferguson as a long-armed, athletic pass protector.

I sure hope so. If he plays like a first round pick that would be great. I am looking forward to seeing him in the pre-season.

That's what I'd be telling everybody to even if it wasn't true

Thanks for posting this, Cardiac. It was a good interview. Good to hear how hard DJH has been training and how smart he is in picking things up.

Welcome and sorry. How freaking sick are we to be posting and reading this stuff at 10pm on a Tuesday. :D

BA said what? Let me see if I have this correct:
1. HC speaking at this time of year
=
2. Lies

That's more when it comes to draft talk. Arians has nothing to gain/lose in lying about DJ.

BA is speaking about the Draft and tries to imply that EJ was a VG pick. I hope he's correct, but nearing the Draft, I take anything that coaches and GM's say with a big grain of salt.

Starks is notoriously hard when evaluating other linemen, and is very concise with his assessments, so for him to come out and say that he thinks DJ can be productive is a great vote of confidence.

This is not the same as when Arians called Levi "elite".

He'll have his ups and downs at first. He will have some struggles and he will improve, imo. They drafted him because of his upside and good movement skills.

This, plus the lack of action in getting a OT in FA speaks very loudly to the faith that BASK has in DJ.

It's worth remembering that Arians has literally no more information on Humphries' abilities today than he had in the NFC Championship game, when Bradley Sowell was a better option to help the team win as a 3rd string tackle.

Sowell had experience, not the talent. They took Humphries to take over for Massie THIS year. Everyone knew that. He'll have his issues initially , and he'll improve and become a legit RT, as much or better than Massie. In imo he should be better. We'll see.
