After watching Andy Dalton carve up the Rams its safe to say we blew it that 1st time we played them.

That game and the first Seattle game are the only losses that bother me and Seattle is 6-4 and it was on the road so that one doesn’t even stick too much.

But that first Rams game sucks. That team has stunk on ice from the first snap of the season on TNF and that was a home game where the D played well enough to win, but Kyler just stunk up the joint.

He might just be a guy who’s body can’t take the pounding of pro football. Would that really be that much of a surprise for someone his size? He looks like a little kid amongst men on the field.

This is another no-win scenario for Kyler. If Colt comes out and plays well, another slap in his face. If Colt doesn't, it is because Colt is the backup, there were a ton of injuries and Kyler let a hamstring keep him out. Fair or not, this is reality.

My guess, (and I would like to think it is an educated one) is this is because we utilize the shotgun so much and how teams rush Kyler (contain vs crash to the pocket).

1. We lose and our season is basically over - and major changes are on the way for 2023.
2. We win, we are in the middle of the NFC playoff chase with a bonafide QB controversy!
