I am now starting my search for the best kickers and punters in the upcoming 2008 draft and offseason.

Rob Bironas Kicker of the Titans will be a RFA. Low tender would cost nothing becuase he wasnt drafted and a mid tender would cost a 2nd rounder. If given the low tender I am all over that.

Josh Brown Kicker of the Seahawks. Will most likely be re-signed but if not he is your first phone call.

Todd Sauerbrun Punter of the Broncos. Better then average career punter.

As for draftee's what are some of the names out there? I have now changed my philosophy and I am perfectly fine with spending any pick from 3rd round to 7th round on not just one but 2 kickers/punters.

There's a guy up here in Canada who had a phenomenal year in Hamilton named Nick Setta........very accurate kicker.

What the heck ever happened to that punter Capshaw we had in during camp? I was surprised we let him go, only to bring in Barr...

Setta made 82% of his field goals this year.......his only real downside was distance, as he was 3/7 from 50+ yards. However, everything else, he was almost perfect.

Isn't Rackers 3-7 from 50+. I'll take that if we can get a guy to make a 32 yarder.

Kicked it far but had even worse hang time in game time duty(not training camp) then Player did. There is a reason why the guy hasn't worked in the NFL since we cut him. Player is laughing his butt off sitting at home right now though.

Yeah, I guess he is......just saying that he'd be a lot cheaper.......and he had a 44.0 punting average.

I think JOhn Carney is out there. He was with Jax until Scobee came back. He's older but pretty reliable.

I think we should sign a guy who hasn't yet broken thru. I would just invite the top 3 kickers in the arena league in let them battle it out. Bironas had been to 4 different team's training camps before the Titans kept him. There has to be more like that out there.
