The Matt Leenart record as starter was 7 wins of 10 loses. The Dereek Andireson record starting cardinals is 2 wins of the 8 losses. Clearly, the Dirick Andreeson is not of the USC as The Matt Lainert is of the USC. Speaking of statistics, the Doreek Anburnson would need to play 3 and one of a half more seasons to match the total wins of the USC prodigee Mat Leenart.

i cannot disagree with this statement. i didn't like leinart being cut, whis made terrible decisions this offseason, but i just don't think we can say that leinart would be a kingmaker.

From what we have saw from the cardinal offense this season it's reasonably to conclude that whiz is at fault for it's pathetic production correct? So not saying leinart would have saved the season but willing to say we would have competed for this division at least. Maybe not but the lack of a true oc and the putrid offense whiz is running maybe no qb would be effective!

Very true but he had limited opportunity and in hindsight the coach had made his decision a forgone conclusion before the preseason games. Leinart was not going to be his Qb he was just looking for a more palatable exit strategy(with the fans) and he coached it with..."he lacked chemistry"....what a joke and one of the poorest decisions made by a Headcoach to take DA over Matt. We (in the weakest division in the NFL) were a Qb away from winning this again and Whis crapped the bed a week before the season. We stood a larger chance of the troops rallying around Matt and him checking down and running the ball to win than we did with scatter arm DA throwing it to the guy in the 2nd row every other pass. Matt may not have been a great choice to lead the team but DA was no choice at all. Whis needs to own this mistake and fix what should have been a mild rebuilding year. Now he has to rebuild both sides of the ball and start over. Total fiasco top to bottom.
