I disagree. I think he was 3rd or 4th rounder this year and he will likely be next year even if he plays minimally. His tools will still be the same and that's what the NFL would've been drafting him on anyway. The NFL wasn't going to buy into the NCAA hype. But, if he plays, plays well again, and shows that he was not a flash in the pan, he could elevate himself to 1st round status.

Personally, I don't think Braxton Miller will be in the equation at OSU next year for either health reasons or transfer reasons. His health issues have been awfully quiet and that's usually not a good sign.

Urban Meyer can say all he wants about QB competition next season but expect Miller to transfer.

I guess the question for Jones is whether he'd be better off starting his salary this year making a five-figure bonus and low six figures as a rookie than waiting a year for the same results.

I don't see anything from the offense that Meyer runs that tells me that the NFL is going to learn anything about Cardale in 12 games or whatever that they don't know right now. I'm not sure he's a better prospect this year or next than Logan Thomas was last year.

Aside: I think that the rise of the spread offense and read option in college and high school are really going to hurt the NFL in the long run. It's just easier to be successful faster running these schemes. I think that a lot of the big armed precision pocket passers are going to increasingly specialize in baseball where you're more likely to make more money sooner than you ever would in the NFL.

Cardale Jones = Vince Young

He has played 4 games. VY was a stud at Texas. Let's not jump to conclusions.

Jones shouldn't be in any NFL front office's plans... 4 games...

Did everyone miss the Oregon game? Watch it, I mean WATCH it. He makes dumb decisions and dumb throws.

Don't care if his TEAM won the natl championship

He already said he was going back to school next year.
