Now Chopper, you're a reasonable guy.

Was that Wilkes out there dropping passes and missing field goals?

I'm not saying he's a good coach by any means.

But I AM saying that, whether you guys like it or not, McCoy called a good enough game today to get the W, and several players just didn't execute (that group does not include Rosen, who was a revelation today).
Oh it took a village to lose this game. But those drops had already occurred when the three predictable runs into a loaded defensive front were called. And those three runs were called knowing they would likely (a) not allow the cardinals to run out the clock, (b) result in a 40+ yard fg attempt - no gimme for his kicker, and (c) give them the ball in good field position if Dawson missed. And he still called those three predictable runs into a loaded defensive front. To excuse him when his play calling factored into the loss is looking for excuses for a failure.

At the end of what I think will be a maddening season... one where we will be STOKED watching Rosen advance and furious watching the rest of the team hold him back... you blow out the coaches and Keim.

Keim is the one who put this coaching staff together. Keim is the one who continually brings back terrible Kickers. Keim is the reason there are no WRs on the field to catch beautifully thrown balls. Keim is the reason we have a Safety and DE playing linebacker. The bucks stops there. This coaching staff is a joke. The personnel is brutal. Josh is a future stud... unless all of the above kills his spirit or gets him killed on the field.

Josh looks too damn special to waste another coaching staff from Keim. This team outside of Josh is an embarrassment almost everywhere else and if all that wasn't bad enough, Keim HIMSELF was embarrassing right before the season with his extreme DUI.

Thanks for fleecing the Raiders out of that pick and thank God the Bills took Allen before Keim could.

That's all.

Again, not saying the last three play calls were were good. But hindsight is 20/20 Ouchie (did I use that phrase correctly sir? :), and the play calling on that drive was good enough to get us 50 yards down the field into field goal range. Right?

Giving it to your best offensive player three times in a row? Not the worst thing in the world either.

If Rosen would have taken a sack, or thrown a pick on a pass-play call, you guys would be screaming bloody murder about not protecting the football, which is exactly what they did.

We should have won this game by maybe 10 points, but given the chance, Wilkes put it on the shoulders of his veteran kicker. Kicking at home, in an dome, straight away, from about 45 yards. Dawson makes that kick 9 times out 10 in practice. Wilkes played the percentages, and Dawson failed.

I'm not excusing the failure Ouchie. I'm assigning it to the players, who bear more responsibility for this loss than the coaches. Is that a completely unreasonable take sir?

It’s not 20-20 hindsight when on first down cheese and I looked at each other and said “those idiots are going to run it right into the stacked front three straight times. With one timeout and the 2 minute clock stoppage they needed one more first down to kill the clock.” Cheese then astutely said “and it’s not like a 45 yard fg is a gimme for Dawson.” In other words cheese and I knew what they were going to do before they did it, and we knew how they were going to blow it. And they did. That’s not hindsight. That’s foresight. And this isn’t bragging because I’m willing to bet the same exact thoughts went through the minds of a good many of the fans on ASFN and in the stadium (including my father who said the same thing to my cousin before it unfolded). So your thoughts aren’t necessarily unreasonable, but they are letting the coaches off the hook when they absolutely 100% contributed in a big way to the loss.

They were probably all disappointed Josh Allen wasnt there. Once again fate saves our front office from picking the wrong player.

Don't tell us what we'd say. It's beyond insulting for you to assume we'd think idiotically. Keep YOUR projections out of OUR arguments. YOU might have been saying that, but YOU also were terrified Josh would get destroyed. We WANT Josh to have the ball whether he leads the team to W or makes the mistake because HE HAS TO DO BOTH OF THOSE TO GROW AS A QB.

Seriously... don't tell us we'd be doing anything. You continually demonstrate you have no clue what we're thinking, so spare us garbage like the above.

Not to mention that even with the benefit of hindsight Wilks would have done the same thing again.

You're right, I really shouldn't question your omnipotent football knowledge Cheese. You're probably the smartest guy on the board (well maybe Ouchie, then you). It's a wonder you two aren't running an NFL franchise.

Yes, I was wrong about rushing the rookie in.

Have a nice evening. :)

Jesus. I'm just saying DON'T PUT ARGUMENTS INTO OUR OWN. How freaking hard is that to understand?

Instead of just saying "you're right... I shouldn't assume what you would have said", you decide to keep trolling.

Good form as usual.

Wilks will survive and see season 2. Only way he doesn't is if Keim gets sent packing

I said the same exact things to my other half! I knew we were going to choke this game away!

Several players let’s this team down today, Wilks let his players down with a scared mentality imo.

This defense has been getting thrashed ALL season & we play for a freaking FG & as you say a longggg FG. If we would’ve made it I had zero confidence this defense would’ve have keep them from scoring 7.

And missed a GW before that

If he were a Cardinal we’d still be 0-4, it’s just the Cardinal way lol

Even I said 'uh oh, they're playing for a field goal and they'll miss it.' EVERYONE, and I mean everyone was pissed as they exited the stadium.

The team and how they execute are a reflection of their head coach. We have been unprepared, and poor in situational football. This lack of attention to details is never an isolated issue. It bleeds over into other areas. Penalties, turnovers, and dropped balls. It is all on Wilks and the culture he creates. He created this and is accountable to it.
