If Rosen would have taken a sack, or throw a pick on a pass-play call, you guys would be screaming bloody murder about not protecting the football, which is exactly what they did.
We should have won this game by maybe 10 points, but given the chance, Wilkes put it on the shoulders of his veteran kicker. Kicking at home, in an dome, straight away, from about 45 yards. Dawson makes that kick 9 times out 10 in practice. Wilkes played the percentages, and Dawson failed.
I'm not excusing the failure Ouchie. I'm assigning it to the players, who bear more responsibility for this loss than the coaches. Is that a completely unreasonable take sir?
