I don't get this at all. What in the world makes you think this? I can only speak for myself but I consider you as much a part of the ASFN community as anybody who posts here.

Or more to the point you don't walk in to a classroom full of kids who have been at that school for years and tell everyone they're unrefinded rednecks and you can't understand why the principal hasn't told most of them to leave and go to another school .

After reading thru some of this thread (GFT's posts) I thought I was gonna have to tell him I was white ha ha.. But the reason that comment came out is not because I think a black guy would be better or that white guys cant be WR's.. I dont care what color as long as they are good.. It came about because alot of white people I have come across have always associated the color white into the mix when talking about Long.. Like I dont know the dude is white.. It comes accross as one of the reasons they are rooting for the guy.. So it was kinda turned around, and I did kinda lose my mind.. ha ha.. But that is all just a thrown in thing with this thread because it irks me when people say that.. The main reason for the thread was I was pissed that a crappy WR took the spot of a different position that we could have really used/needed.. Do we really need 7 WR's?

Doesn't matter anyway. In a week this thread will be buried so far down that no one will care anymore and they won't have a reason to come back. That, and Long will probably be dropped for a veteran at a different position after week 1 anyway.

Perhaps it's a case of the loudest voices being heard and not the consensus but I feel that it is clear that I will only be one of the lunatic fringe(Warner-phile, Warnerite, etc.) until proven otherwise.
Which is fair enough but it gets tiring having Warner quips thrown at me regardless of the topic at hand.

For what it is worth mokler, I think you are a good poster and more than just a Warner-phile. I say this because you have gotten to know the team and can post intelligently about more than just Warner. And let's face it, unless Warner pulls a "farve", the Cardinals will be his last team, and imo, where he has had his greatest success!

You said it was a "drop." It's definitely not a drop. The dude caught the ball. It was ruled incomplete because his feet were ruled out of bounds. It wasn't a drop, the dude made a sweet play, and he doesn't "suck." Maybe he is the 7th best receiver on the team and should have been cut, but he's a very gifted athlete.
Actually, I'd like to see him as our 4th receiver matched up against other teams' 4th corner in 4WR formations. I'm not sure many 4th corners could match well with a 4.38 guy.
we've heard your tired 40 time argument across 12 pages and 3 accounts. yes, it was a drop, he didn't catch the ball the ground can cause an incompletion, and he got 3 feet in, but didn't have the ball when he came down throughout the catch. It's ashame ojsimpson is gonna get permabanned, because its such a great name
