Typing in jerk and calling out other fans/posters isn't.

I missed the jerk part but I don't think his posts have been calling out Cardinals fans because they disagree about Long. I think he's frustrated by those who are stating as fact that Long sucks, period.

He doesn't completely suck for no other reason than he held onto the ball when he got leveled and he got back up after the hit. He's taken some shots and keeps getting up. Maybe that won't equate to stat's come game day but it wouldn't surprise me at all if Whis places value on guys who have balls and he wants the other players to know what heart and determination look like.

Maybe you Cardinal player haters should move on to become Rams, 49ers, or Seahawks fans. For those who missed it, Long runs a 4.35 40, jumps 39" and benches 225 14 times. These tests are a part of the NFL combine for a reason - these are predictors of NFL success. The dude is off the charts. Go log in and hate some other teams' players anonymously, dudes.

you anonymous haters have only proven to be backstabbing fans. I wish Whis could cut you guys loose for your poor performance.

I defend Dansby all the time without resorting to calling people haters or dishonorable or backstabbing or telling people to go root for another team or even using the condescending tone a few posters who shall remain nameless like to invoke.

Don't let them get under your skin GF. Some of the people on here will post things just to get a rise out of you. If a particular post gets you steamed up, don't answer it right away. Think about it a little and when you answer, don't get belligerent.

Just remember that it's easy to say nasty things about someone if you don't have to say it to their face. I don't know if any of the players read this forum, but I always post as if the person I am talking about will be reading it. To me a Cardinal player/coach/staff/front office personnel are all part of a team I enjoy rooting for and I like all of them. Not everyone understands the team concept.

Meh. I still maintain that LL has his shot now @ the big game. Wait and see approach is now what to do. People critiquing the coaching staff's decision with keeping him on the final 53 is cool with me. I guess it was the all and all he sucks approach that got some worked up. Including myself and I'm not some massive LL fan, just a Cardinal team fan. No biggie now that most of it's been cleared up.

I thought Josh McCown sucked... but of course he's not a current player so perhaps it's ok to say that about former players? Man, could we fill a few pages if that's the case!!

Most fans don't blindly support a player just because he is on their team. Do a quick search and you'll find a recent BSP sucks thread, probably could find a Eric Green sucks thread from last year, a Terrence Holt thread from 2007--probably a Leonard Davis thread from back then as well and probably a Jake Plummer thread from even further back on here. If a guy isn't performing or it is felt he could be replaced by someone better you'll see it pop up a lot.

BTW this isn't the official teams site so every thread isn't going to promote the team...thats the truth of it.

dude, you're new. don't come in thinking you have liberties to get people's stuff deleted. Lance Long sucks is the way Gee feels, just like I am watching the D-backs game saying our bullpen SUCKS, there is nothing wrong with saying that and doesn't change the fact that I love the Diamondbacks. Go back to google and type in "holding hands club" and you might find a message board that is more suited for what you appear to be looking for.

No kidding. Even our star players Fitzgerald, Dansby, Dockett and Boldin have been seriously blasted in far worse tones on this board for their off field activities.

It is seniority because some have bragged about that. And, when I present facts, people choose to ignore them and present arguments that have no foundation. Also, they've threatened to ban me for accurately portraying my view of the situation (about "fans"), but it is okay to trash people (Long and Whisenhunt) publically on the site - there has been no question about that. It is "seniority" - thank you moklerman.

The only issue I have with this thread is the "If you disagree with me you aren't a real fan" comment.

There is no place for that on this site or in any conversation. Such comments only lead to flame wars and discourage real discourse, as it has done in this thread.

It would be the same if he had 10 posts or 1000.
