so I’m watching all the draft stuff and it’s pretty much Murray would of been considered the 4th best QB in last years draft behind Baker, Darnold and Rosen.

A lot of these “experts” are saying Haskins is the best prospect in this draft but the hype train is behind Murray.

Would anyone on the planet say Murray is a better pro prospect than Tua or Trevor Lawrence? I don’t think so.

So how good is he really. I honestly just don’t see it. No player his size has ever succeeded at QB.

I’d say drive up the price and trade it. Get a 1 next year. Ride with Rosen and if he doesn’t make the step next year go all in on Tua but god not Murray

With his small frame, a couple of good hits, injured. Look at the hits Rosen took, got up and kept on. Do you think Murray would hold up after that onslaught?

He is very talented as an athlete and would only fit into a few schemes (IMO).

Hype is due to:
KK's offense is the #1 scheme fit
KK's comments on selecting him #1
Heisman trophy performance in same offense as Baker Mayfield
Rosen's struggles in year 1

To me, I think this is 99.9% hype. In a normal year, I don't think Murray is a 1st or 2nd round draft pick (due to size and scheme limitations).

Pull up the Alabama vs. Oklahoma game.

I think that one is important because it simulates what Rosen saw, lots of pressure all game long.

You could see Murray making bad throws even when there wasn't pressure because he was shellshocked from it.

I'm starting to go back and forth on Murray. It's a big decision and Murray IS NOT a perfect prospect despite what his fan boys think.

I like Murray and thinks he’s got a shot. His size is concerning but the games changing and every years more rules are put in place to protect quarterbacks. In the right system with the right team he could be very good but I have zero faith in Keim fixing the line before he gets killed. I feel the same about Rosen.

Agreed.

Alabama took it to OK and Murray was completely taken out of his game. Yes, he made some plays in the 2nd half but Alabama was on pure prevent defense.

Want to watch one of the real players we should be drafting in that game...Q Williams.

Williams was so disruptive in this game.

Definitely shows why he should be in consideration for #1 overall....but look at his tape vs Clemson and it's the opposite.

Clemson game - he was double teamed 50% of the time and still had 4 TFL.

I will take that as his worst game. Dude is a beast.

The dude is constantly sucking wind and subbing out after a few plays. Bust

People are in love with the Murray highlight film. He might be good. He might turn out to be great but take a few things into account the undefined shortcomings. 1. Taking a snap from under center. 2. The ability to handle nfl defenses that are better than Alabama’s defense. 3. Picking up and handling exotic blitz’s. 4. Throwing into windows against nfl cornerbacks that will seem wide open but close faster than he’s ever seen. 5. A grueling 16 game schedule against bigger faster and harder hitting nfl players. Now there is no doubt Murray will create some highlight reels but I doubt it will be sustainable play after play , week after week and hit after hit.

As a fence sitter, which is the position I've moved into after giving the proposition it's due diligence, my argument is that he will get better which will make up for some of his deficiencies.

I remember watching tape of Russell Wilson and seeing how much his deep throws hung in the air. Well Russell gradually got better velocity in his deep throws and he's sneaky good at deep throws now.

Well, I'm also a fence sitter on Murray. I go back and forth on him versus Rosen. His pro Day will be interesting and I think will form a lot of conclusions. Even though it's scripted it will give you an idea of his arm strength and also his speed. Additionally, they say he will also go on the scales and be measured again for his height. Maybe we will get off the fence after this.

If a pro day sways your opinion something’s wrong... Pretty much everyone kills their pro day in their comfy fully scripted environment. Yet means nothing as it relates to NFL success.

Well...he is going to run at his pro day...

If he runs a 4.3 like most expect, Murray-mania is going to explode.
