Im a guy.
I put my hands on a much much much bigger guy.
I know he can kick my ass.
I hit him anyways.
He kicks the crap out of me. And I deserve it, yes? Yes I do.
Because I knowingly put my hands on somebody I knew could kill me.

Explain the difference.

yes you're a great man Bodha.

You clearly didn't get my point. I was going to the point of absurdity to make a point, you're saying she's responsible for her actions but you're absolving him of HIS responsibility for HIS actions. Adults are supposed to have enough self control to not break the face of someone that they have a disagreement with.

She didn't punch him she pushed him and then put her right hand on him, not sure if it was grabbing him or maybe at worst contact with the right hand. There's a very clear reason he lied to the police and said someone hit him in the face hard enough that it "felt like a dude hit me." there's no way he thought he'd been hit by a man, he was looking right at her, and the contact didn't even faze him. He just lost his temper and decked her, broke her face, knocked her unconscious and then just walked out like it didn't mean a thing to him.

He told police he hit her in self defense, that he thought it was a dude that hit him and so he defended himself. That's clearly a lie. Even if it is self defense adults don't have to hit another adult hard enough to break their face. Adults are supposed to have control of themselves, he clearly didn't at that time.

Bottom line:

Person A put their hands on person B. And the majority of your issue is with person B

But im the one who sees things backwards huh?

I dont condone his actions, but Im not about to write paragraphs about why she has diplomatic immunity to do anything she wants in this world.

I consider that victim blaming. She hit him, and his reaction is the crime?

I dont agree with what he did. But I absolutely do not excuse her actions because "shes a girl". Shes an adult human being responsible for her choices.
He should've been a man, walked out the door & never been associated with her again. Pretty simple IMO.

I agree, thats what he should have done.

But im still trying to figure out "why she didnt deserve it"

Heres the question again, if anyone cares to solve it:

Honestly, if I hit every person that ever called me an offensive name, not only would I be out of a job but I'd probably be in prison. During my 12 years in corrections I've been called everything but a child of God and I've never lashed out violently. The only time in my career I have ever gotten violent in and way is when I respond to codes but I digress. There's no excuse for what he did to that girl. If he would have simply pushed her back then walked away, he'd be lauded but instead he gave her a haymaker to her face breaking it. The fact he wasn't even punished(and no, being red shirted for a season is not punishment) is sickening. Hell, UVA placed more sanctions on Greek houses over a false rape allegation than UOK did to Mixon over this and it was on video. Do I believe in 2nd chances? Yes but I don't believe this kid should be rewarded with a multi-million dollar contract for his actions.

See. Another one. Rather than formulate a sound opposing argument, you go for the "WOWOW I cant believe it! I wont even waste my time!"

aka "Darn, I disagree with him but he made a really good point."
Hey it's nothing personal I just disagree with what took
I agree, thats what he should have done.

Dont feel bad, I stuck you with a brutal, inarguable question. Few, if any, couldve come up with a response.

*I dont condone it. I wouldnt ever do it. Nor should he have.

Bottom line, she is an adult. She knew he could kill her and she hit him anyways. You walk through the doors you open.
OK, let me twist this around. A black man gets into a confrontation with police. He takes an aggressive stance and goes to his waistband and is shot and killed but it turns out he wasn't armed. After all, he should know that taking on police in this way might turn out this way, right? Something tells me your reaction is vastly different than this. Or, better yet, using your logic, it's dark out, a kid is waving around a very real looking BB handgun, cops arrive on the scene and the kid turns the gun on the police and they shoot him dead. Does your platitude of you walk through doors you open apply here?

Thats the dictionary definition of sexism.

Scenario 1:
His color doesnt matter.

The fact he made an aggressive motion to his waistband 100% justifies the police in shooting him.

Scenario 2:
Its a child. An adult should 1st suspect its a toy. Kids = toys. The cop would, and should, be extremely careful though, because maybe its not. The cop is also a person who has a right to his life.

That's the definition of ignorance IMO, given what took place & the results of her multiple fractures of her face & jaw.

Always love ready your posts & thoughts but your responses seem to be that "she deserved it" despite you saying otherwise. There is zero excuses for retaliation on his part regardless of what she did to Mixon, unless she pulled a gun on him! Zero!

Let me put it this way.

The woman kills your dog.

Do you want to throw her out the window? Yes
Should you throw her out the window? No
Does she deserve to be thrown out the window? Yes.

And thats my point. Should he hit her? No. Did she deserve it? Yes. He did exactly what she did, just with way more power because hes bigger. But their actions were equal. The results were not equal.

This has nothing to do with men and women to me.

I view everybody as people. If you are an adult with full mental faculties, then you are responsible for your actions and consequences.

Sex, race, religion, orientation. etc none of it matters. Everybody is equal.

Joe Mixon

Watched his bowl game and he looked fantastic. Too bad he's probably off the Cardinals board. He'd be an ideal compliment to D.J. in this offense with his pass catching ability, etcetera.

DJ? More like Ray Rice, amirite?

You're insanely persistent...and great at digging yourself holes lol. I applaud your effort, but don't applaud your reasoning or rational :)

The law disagrees with you. If you hit your wife, no matter if she hit you first or not, and she calls the cops, guess who's ass out?

Im aware life isnt fair.

Heres another, if your wife cheats on you while youre out working 80 hours a week at a job you hate to provide for your family, you will get divorced and she will still get the kids, half the money, the house and you can sleep on an inflatable mattress in an apartment; while she and the guy she was cheating with live in your house and he becomes your kids new stepdad.

I never said the law was fair. "Right" has nothing to do with it.

There's rage buried inside everyone, hidden for the most part, rarely admitted or ever faced head on. Sometimes it comes out. I make no excuses for it, that's just the way it is. jmho

Anyone hear Brent Mussberger go off.

Pretty much said he was getting flak for wishing him well at the next level and he said of course I'm going to wish him well the kid messed up and got a second chance I'm all for people getting second chances and I hope he goes forward and learns from this.

I agree 100%
