Ya you don't hit a woman, well unless she's chasing you around the house with a butcher knife.
Anyone hear Brent Mussberger go off.
Pretty much said he was getting flak for wishing him well at the next level and he said of course I'm going to wish him well the kid messed up and got a second chance I'm all for people getting second chances and I hope he goes forward and learns from this.
I agree 100%
The point Florio made on PFT was that Hill didn't have a video of him hitting his pregnant girlfriend so it was "easier" for the Chiefs to justify him because of that. If you're an NFL team and you draft Joe Mixon that video is going to be all over local tv, womens groups will protest him etc. With Hill while people knew what he did, they didn't see it.
There's rage buried inside everyone, hidden for the most part, rarely admitted or ever faced head on. Sometimes it comes out. I make no excuses for it, that's just the way it is. jmho
Go Cards..
Mussberger is about as sexist as they come, that's the problem. Remember his remarks about A.J. McCarron's girlfriend?
The issue that i had with Mussberger's remarks about Mixon was that he did not even mention or show concern for the victim in this case. Thus, his comments, without that important context, seemed awkward and slightly inappropriate.
"As sexiest as they come"
Why because he said AJ had a pretty girlfriend. I don't remember his calling her out her name, don't remember any Mussberger scandals.
Some of you guys are just sensitive it amazes me
I made the comment. So you can keep your remarks to me and not "some guys."

You may not have a problem with this---but I do. I teach young females who want to be treated like human beings, not sex objects.
Probably a reason Musberger isn't on the Sat night ABC games anymore as well.I made the comment. So you can keep your remarks to me and not "some guys."

Im so confused reading this thread. None of the responses seem to go together. And then it hit me..... BODHA! Am I right???Ignore is a beautiful thing.
I agree, thats what he should have done.
But im still trying to figure out "why she didnt deserve it"
Heres the question again, if anyone cares to solve it:
Im a guy.
I put my hands on a much much much bigger guy.
I know he can kick my ass.
I hit him anyways.
He kicks the crap out of me. And I deserve it, yes? Yes I do.
Because I knowingly put my hands on somebody I knew could kill me.
Explain the difference.
I agree, thats what he should have done.
But im still trying to figure out "why she didnt deserve it"
She didn't deserve it because she's a woman, and any man with an ounce of decency knows that you simply don't hit women.
End of discussion.
Are you privy to the conversation exchange between him and her? If so, please provide a synopsis. You seriously dont understand the difference between deserve and action.
He shouldnt have hit her, but she 100% deserved to be hit.

She was drunk, half his size. Not exactly bragging material for a knock out by Mixon. He busted up a drunk girl. That is so beyond weak. He came back for revenge, whatever was said. If you were drunk and slapped me, I would laugh and walk away. Been there and done that. Nothing shameful.Does it matter? Sticks and stones. Words are words.
She introduced physicality into the exchange. SHE did. Not him.
Like I said earlier, if I knowingly put my hands on a guy much bigger than myself, who I know can kill me, and get my butt kicked, I would deserve it.
Does she not know hes bigger and can kill her? Of course she does. But shes been raised to think she can assault people and have diplomatic immunity from being hit back.

And you don't understand when adding qualifiers can make you sound inhumane and misogynistic. You seriously dont understand the difference between deserve and action.

Its sad when a lady gets eaten by the lions at the zoo, but it doesnt mean she didnt deserve it. Dont jump into the cage dummy.
This has nothing to do with Mixon. If we are going to continue discussing this I need you to raise up to a higher plane of intellect.
And you don't understand when adding qualifiers can make you sound inhumane and misogynistic.
I shall never stoop down to your "plane of intellect".
You know whats ironic
"Misogyny: ingrained prejudice against women."
You are the misogynist here. Your prejudice is that women are different. They are dumber. They dont know better. They are practically children who dont understand that with choices, comes consequence. She gets a pass just as a mentally disabled man would. Because shes a pitiful little creature who would drown in the rain if not for your help.
I view that girl who got smacked with 100% respect of human equality.
Walking away claiming the higher ground
aka
He made really good points, and Im having a hard time coming up with a logical counter-argument.
For the record - your "argument" this whole time has amounted to no more than "She a girl!". Which is sexist, but also basic and void of logical examination.
Q - if she were a 6'6, heavily muscled 250 pound girl, is she still just a girl?
