Wouldn't it be spectacular if an email from the Suns beat writer was the only reason the NBA knew about it? And they suspended him? LOL
I heard it talked about on the Ringer NBA podcast this morning and saw it talked about online yesterday. I'm sure they were well aware of it before Bordow sent an email.

Zzzz. Really? Is this what the world has come to? Do we need to chase or create stories?

As much as it sucks, I think Josh should at least get a fine and 1 game. Would rather he learn a lesson now.

This is from Josh Jackson regarding the jesture.

“That’s what most people thought I was going but I actually wasn’t making a gun,” Jackson said, adding he has seen the video. “I kind of wanted to put up the middle finger to him but I didn’t do that because I felt like I was really being watched so I kind of halfway did it.”

“He called me a few names as I was coming out of the game so that’s what really set me off,” Jackson said. “But it had been going on from the same guy the entire game. Fans can come and sit so close and say whatever they want to say and us as players can’t react in any type of way. It’s something I’m still learning.”

Perhaps I missed this. The NBA is looking into it.

Jackson said he has not heard from the NBA about a possible fine but that, “whatever consequence comes I’m ready for it.”

General Manager Ryan McDonough said the NBA has reached out to Jackson. Tim Frank, the league’s senior vice president of basketball communications, said in an e-mail that, "If there is anything to announce we will announce it."

Can you imagine the response that Marcus Morris would have had if he was the one that did it?
If he did it 3 games into his career we'd have given him similar leeway. But Jackson's college history does make it a bit alarming.

He has to be careful, because if he show that type of thing gets to him, he will end up getting much more of it.

So a $35,000 dollar fine it is. It reportedly was considered a "menacing gesture."

A number of players are racking up fines. Curry was fined $50,000 dollars for throwing his mouthpiece in the direction of an official.

Kind of like Ball's dad putting a target on his head. Players are lining up for a chance to shut him down once they saw what Beverly did.
