Josh McCown Is The Answer

LV - it's just a gut feeling I have. My gut's been right about this team more times than not - you should know I'm not one to make the kind of claim I did here very easily. Taking the wait and see attitude is the prudent thing to do - and I
m probably setting myself up to be crushed, but there's just this good angging feeling that he's finally it . . . like you said - we'll see . . .

Man I hope your right. I have been burned so many times in the past-Namely Plummer- that it is hard for me to put my faith in one guy and say he is the 'answer'.

But beyond the 'gut' feeling, I need to see him string some games together like the Oakland game Saturday before I commit . He has a serious tendencie to run when he should be stepping into the pocket with his eyes down field. I also think he is still a little timid to pull the trigger at times if I guy doesnt have his man beat by 3 stes. I am not advocating throwing the ball into coverage constantly a la Plummer, but McCown needs to pull that trigger once in a while.

If he can correct these two things I will be a happy man and join you on the couch of love so we can oggle at McCown all day long!


And BTW, I do know it isnt your 'style' to go with a gut feeling, so I have to give some credence to that as well!

There is no stat nor statement anyone can make that would lead me to believe otherwise AT THIS POINT. The fact that the guy has started 3 games and played on one of the worst coached and least talented team should buy him time. He is a 3rd year player give the guy time

too early to say this stuff. let's wait 'til the bullets start flying for real and see what mccown's got. i put very little behind preseason performances. i want josh to succeed, i'm still just very skeptical.

I'm with you Ouchie. I just can't pass full judgement until I see Josh handle that lousy dome when we play the rams. I'm a little optomistic because I think he has something to prove to those that screamed "take a qb!" at the tv.

I full admit he played better last game and I was much more impressed, but blindly buying into Josh is the same scenario that got us 6 years of Plummer.

I believe that it is due to the fact that there is a team known as the St. Louis Cardinals.

They play baseball not football but still I think that's why people fumble that from time to time just my opinion.

You never really hear the Baltimore Colts thing and you don't hear the LA Rams.
