That is a really low point spread, I figured KC would be a 8 or 9 point favorite. I'm almost tempted to put money against the Cards, I really dont think this game will be close at all, considering how horrible this season has been. Atleast we could ease are pain by making a little green off this teams ineptitude.

In all honesty in reality, dont most of you think this point spread is insanely low for this game. Chiefs just got done smashing the 49ers, the team the Cards had a are time defeating.

No no no not at all. Actually I wish the Cards were favored. Any time the CHiefs have been favored by 5 or more on the road they seem to have trouble.

Week 1 games are real hard to judge a team on, lot's of strange things happen in week 1.

Looking back at the Cheifs Niners game, it was a story of turnovers. The Chiefs only had 2 sustained drives in the game, the Niners were just bad in all facets of the game.

We will win this week.

insanely low? we're a HOME TEAM with a 3.5 spread - no, i don't think that's low - i think it's sad.

I agree with the first part of your statement. BUt as far as winning this week? I respectfully must disagree.

The Cheifs looked much better in that game than they actually are! The Cards have a legitimate shot at winning this barring the same play as got us in this 1-3 situation. They are not as good as they looked last week and I dont think we are as bad as we looked so should be a competitive game.

You're talking out of both sides of your mouth, Cheese. Yes, it's sad, but if you had to handicap the game, where would YOU put the point spread?

Do you think the Cards will keep it closer than 4 points?

Hey - at least it's not the 19 points Tennessee is favored to lose by Sunday!

I'm sure you do, and I don't blame you.

However, we are both 1 win teams, both starting backup QBs, both have many questions on offense.(You guys are middle of the road in rushing and poor in passing). Your defense has been very good so far, but really haven't faced receivers like boldin and Fitz, I know you are high on your corners, but they just haven't been tested like they will this week.

The 12th man should be a factor this week since Leinart is starting, and we usually get behind our defense real well anyhow.

I went to a Cheifs board and just about everyone is predicting a 35-3 or similar score. I hope the Cheifs are looking forward to next week and overlooking us.....as matter of fact, I'm banking on it.

I would normally agree with you, BUT! I aslo watched the CHiefs and broncos go to over time and it ended as a 6-9 score. I have notice something different in the way the Chiefs are playing. Its taken a couple games to see it. But they are actually tackling and hitting. Non of this arm tackle stuff. Its like They all downed a ton of Reb Bull or something. And this town is on fire about it. The national media dont care for us so they dont talk about it. Good.

I'm not a handicapper. I just know I wouldn't touch that spread from either side if I were a betting man. It's a game I'd step away from seeing as the only time the Chiefs O has looked good has been against the Niners and the only time we ever even come close to playing well is at home.

they faced Cincy who has pretty much the greatest collection of offensive talent in the league and pretty solid WRs in Johnson and Houz and played at least mediocre against them. And no matter how good Fitz and Boldin are, if the QB's got no time (not to mention he's a rookie), they won't play that much of a factor - they haven't since week 1.

Houshmanasdnzdasdzdaah was out for that game, in their offense that's like taking out Boldin or Fitz from ours. The playcalling will adjust this week and we will see shorter drops and quicker routes.

Also in that game, they did give up 100 yards rushing to Johnson....and Cincy's line isn't great.

Also to note: THat was the game Trent Green went down in. Soon as he hit the dirt we were done for the day. Plus Herm in his wisdom for some reason had us wear our white away jearsys at home with the white pants. That had never ever happend before. The CHiefs huddle and radio and pregames was going nuts. I must have gotten 15 phone calls on it. It was a very bad feeling we had before kick off. And it seems we were right. Herm has since promised no more White Jerseys at home.

I don't know....I really like their Bookends. And their middle isn't horrible. At the worst I'd say they are steady. Which is really all we would ever need to be here in the Desert. Just a steady OLine.

Interesting. KC fans must have stole our kool-aid. Let me get this straight - the Chiefs are a 1 win team playing with a back up QB and the fans are jumping around excited like a frog on meth? Please, the Chiefs are probably still in the bottom third of the league and a long shot playoff team. They've only averaged 8 points a game against teams other than the 49ers.

The Cards have more than a legitimate shot if Leinart can control the offense. The O-line has played better at home so far. Let's hope they are competent Sunday.

They have given up 15 sacks already this year(more than us)....and yes I know run blocking and pass blocking are different, but they aren't winning any awards in either category.

Yes and let me explain why. FOr years the Chiefs were known for Defense. The Derrick Thomas years. Then about 2000 - 01 we totally went offensive. I mean we cut Donnie Edwards and alot of others. THe team focused on offense. ANd yes its fun scoring a ton of points. But it wasnt the same. Herm has taken the cuffs off Gunther Cunningham and we can see the difference. Now Im not saying we are gonna win the Superbowl or go 13-3. WHat this is....is a start in the right direction. ANd yes. We are pumped by it.

I'm not giving the Chiefs a ton of credit over them being favored, the reason they are favored is just how horrid the Cards were last week, the past three games have just been worse then I could actually Imagine, the Cards right now are a mess.

I'd take Levi Jones and Willie Anderson all day. Give me Steinbach too.

They are averaging right at 4 ypc....I'd say solid.

As for the 15 sacks.....14 of them are against Crennel, Cowher and Bellichick. I'm going to give a pass for now....and say they don't suck.

I would hope not. You see I have respect for fans that stand behind there team win or loose. Yes sometimes they complain when there team isnt doing well but they are still there. Just like you folks seem to be.

What I cant stand is someone that wears the SUperbowl winners jacket and changes every year.
