Just a heads up for anyone who doesn't know. Kerr will be coming on sometime during the 9:00 hour.

Prediction: Kerr states there was nobody they really wanted at the first pick.

Prediction: We were never really in any trade discussion involving Marion or Amare.

Other then that it should be a good interview.

Makes a little sense. I heard they wanted Marco, but he went higher than expected. Surprised that they didn't want Tiago though, as he won't come over this year anyway.

Thank goodness. It would have been hard to come out ahead anyway. (that is, because neither Boston or Minnesota wanted Marion)

I don't think they would openly admit to shopping either anyway. Wouldn't make much sense to alienate 2 guys that you are going to have on your team.

My Guess is he'll really make a point and tout "flexibility" this is in the Suns GM training manual under the Spinning the NBA Draft and fooling the stupid blind fans tab.

Haha he more or less just said "no we weren't looking for a back up PG"

EDIT: Oh bologna you were trying to move up in the 2nd round. If that was true you could've gotten a 2nd rounder for that 24 pick you lying sack of crap.

"It's hard for fans to fathom what you have to do flexibility"

Said flexibility about 8 times so far.

Translation. We were never trading for anyone of significance because we couldn't dump salary then.

Kerr said Charlotte deal fell through, but really the guys they like were off the board at 8. I'm guessing Green and Brewer were there targets.

Also said the Suns were trying to move up in the 2nd round to get DJ Strawberry. Hey dpsht! Why didn't you get one out of Portland for the #24?

LMAO. It reminds me of one of those infomercials where they repeat the same phrase over and over to sell a point. Classic sell job.

Concerning Garnett.

"I don't know what Minnesota wants to do?" Would not say the Garnett stuff is over.

"We won 61 games last year, we're happy with where we are"

Why improve when you're happy losing to the Spurs?

What makes it worse is Kerr is saying this is his philosiphy. Why did the Suns hire him to do the exact same BS they did last year?

Stumbled and mumbled. Its obvious the day did not go like he would like it to go.

I wonder if they were counting on the #8 pick to help them land Garnett.

I thought about this yesterday, and it was my conclusion as well.

yeah, I really never want to hear my GM say we're hapy where we are when we've won 60 plus games two of the last three years and we haven't even got a WC Title, much less an NBA Chip to talk about.

Used San Antonio as an example. But that is Bogus.

Weren't Parker and Ginobili late first round picks?

We have a doofus for a GM.

if that were the case, this organization really is out to lunch with their expectations that people are going to bend over and take it up the ol' poop shoot to try to help us. The Bobcats deal would have been highway robbery and once word gets out like we put out there (Griffin - very close to top ten pickand everyone assumed it was the Bobcats) ANY team that actually had ANYTHING of value was gonna realize they could best our relatively paltry offer of late round picks (which we had little value for).

I thought it was all 3 picks, and KT.

it's sad when we actually know more about basketball than our GM. Although, seeing as he played there, I'm thinking this kind of statement is just REALLY disingenuous spin that takes advantage of the average fans lack of historical knowledge about the Spurs. Basically, the above statement shows me that Steve Kerr thinks we are stupid.

oy. I thought he was gonna be a really solid GM and had great potential when he got here, but I gotta tell you, so far, he ain't impressing me.

oh well.

that's even worse - they're ggoing to trade the 8th pick in a top-loaded draft for late round picks AND take 9 million dollars in salary off our hands? Why would Charlotto want to get bent over like that?
