Probably because we are going to reach, take and ruin some freaking QB in the draft, whilst leaving a good pass rusher on the board. Then everyone will salivate about how QB Guru will turn this kid out and make him great and blather.

I'm just getting a head start.

Also, I'm really, really, really pissed that we aren't going to fire Russ Grimm. These posts are blowback.
If the combine/off-season convinces the Cards to take a QB in the first round, they should do it. If they can't develop him, they all need to be fired. I don't think Whiz is a guru, I just think he is capable of grooming a decent QB. If not, fire him.

team hated Leenart. OL was terrible. WR's were hurt. blah blah blah.

Team didn't hate the Leenart. Nobody has come out and said that, and they would have if that were the case. They might not have been comfortable with him, but with the gift of hindsight they would have begged QBGKW to keep him around.

The OL was terrible...told you that from day one of camp.

WRs weren't "hurt" enough to be an excuse...Early was in his normal health, breaston missed a few weeks. Williams got his back broken by DA (on one of three passes he threw that game, a five yard out 15 feet high.)

Can we just do it pre-emptively?

Start with Russ Grimm.

Both the best and worst trip of my life...I think.

I am seriously trying to convice myself that we won that game and it ended after Fitz' TD.

Remember when the clock ran out as he scored? Oh, it was awesome. I don't even remember the rest of the night we partied so hard. Remember when Cheese got naked and fought that Steely McBeam guy? AWESOME!

When Leenart came on for Warner to :QBKNEEL: at the end, that was a beautiful thing. :tears:

Can you imagine if the refs had not called a penalty at the end of the first half? Or if the Cards hadn't sacked Rothlisberger on the final drive?

I know..it was so close to being heartbreak, but it wasn't.

I think the key to the game was when they called the block in the back on that INT return at the half. Hilarious, they thought he would actually be able to score! :biglaugh:

Man, Fitz was so happy to be the MVP...I think he earned it with his second half performance, though I agree with the KW fans, he certainly deserved it too.

That was the biggest upset ever. Credit the Cards for being too modest to put up the banner or give out rings in public. .

So THAT's why you liked DA! He's your height.

Mystery solved. Now if I can just figure out why 82 thought we'd win ten wins with DA I might unravel the secrets of the universe.

Dude you're like a an elephant! Don't you forget anything???? :bang:

But, yea....if only I can dial it all back and try to remember why I thought a 10-win season was ours... wow... I'd be able to undo so many bad calls! Uggghhhh......

I've been meaning to bring this up to and if I was a betting man, I would say we end up with Kolb. Likely going to cost us this years Second and maybe next years first or second.

Apparently Cowher - whom knows Wiz well obviously - came out on the Morning show this week and said "look for this to happen"

I have been doing research and if Wiz doesn't want to go with a rookie, (and with the lockout and what another bad season would do to his job prospects) I like Kolb, if the cost wouldn't be prohibative. He seems to always throw for 300 yards in a WC offense and if you remove the last games stats where his best WR was Chad Hall and he played against Dallas's #1's he has a 6-4 TD/INT ratio which while not sparkling, is pretty good.

In terms of available "vet" QB's he def has the most upside and an 3 year Andy Reid tutorial will only help him hit the ground running.

I still draft Cam Newton if available. K9 - Why are you so sure the Bills draft him? He doesn't seem to fit Chan Gaileys offense at all IMO.

Kolb is that not far removed from being a rookie. He could fall on his face or be a fine QB. Personally I would like a QB who has already demonstrated his abilities in the NFL as a starter. Someone like McNabb. What has Kolb done that would make us give up a couple of high picks in the draft?

What a weekend. My wife telling me there was no way she would let me miss the SB just because it was such an expensive trip and Shane's ticket broker telling him they had messed up and had FOUR tickets for him instead of two.

Good times.

Kevin Kolb-QB- Eagles Jan. 9 - 12:20 pm et

Adam Schefter reiterated on ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown that the Eagles would require at least two first-round picks to consider trading Kevin Kolb this offseason.
A Kolb trade remains highly unlikely. Considering Michael Vick's style of play and risk of injury, Kolb is too valuable for a Super Bowl contender to deal. He's put nothing on tape that would prompt a smart team to meet the Eagles' prohibitive asking price.

I credit the replay official for having the cajones to check the reply on that Holmes TD "catch". It took big balls to make the right call in that situation!

No way in the world two #1s. We are sitting way to high in the draft, the real question is...
If Kolb some how entered the draft, would you pick him with our #5 pick? That is the most I would ever offer, and I aint sure I would even do that.

I think if the Iggles are going to stand pat on either keeping Kolb with his bargain deal for next season or requesting the Hawaiian Islands, two private jets and unlimited amounts of Grey Goose....err, I mean two first rounders, then Orton becomes the more viable option. And I would be content with that move

2nd this year and 4th next year. No more!

We agree again...shocking :D

Actually I like Kolb so much I would do the first round swap because the Olinemen in this draft are all back end prospects.

I personally believe there is absolutely no point in drafting / trading for a QB without a serious upgrade at 2-3 oline positions.
