The off-season talking points create an entire new reality that doesn't exist. We don't run crosses or mesh? Kyler can't throw over the middle? Nonsense.

xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media

Kyler's fault that route combination was a disaster AND we leave somebody totally unblocked?

xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media

Wait I'm told this is impossible, Kyler can't see over the 6'6" lineman. Oh wait, no QB can.

Impossible

Makes total sense to give Steve Keim an Ozzie Newsome-esque 15 year run... having won 1 playoff game in his first 9 years.
Yeah when we discussed it last night and I realized it would be 15 years of stewardship of an NFL team I was just floored. That’s a span that you expect of a HOF GM. Not keim.

So...just brushing off any culpability on KK's part? M'kay.
The flip side is that you see people willfully missing that Murray has a large portion of the culpability. At the end of the day players play and coaches don't. There was only a few games that Murray wasn't in position to win. During the season it was really only the Lions game and Rams playoff game that Murray wasn't in a position to win.

I say again...Colt McCoy showed that with steady QB play, Kingsburys offense doesn't even require big time throws to be successful. Murray vaccilates between being checkdown king and Mr. Big play. Rarely in his career can he put games where he does both.

This is the last straw. I'm done. I was already teetering if they didn't fire at least VJ and preferably Keim. To give Keim and KK these extensions? I't disgusting. They've lost me. I'm not going to stick to another 5 years of mediocrity. The start of last year was fools gold thanks to Keim signing the 2014 all pro team but we see where that got us by the end of the year. Now we have $10 for cap space and have a million holes to fill in large part due to Keim's drafting. This team is a joke and that's not going to change any time soon. So I'm done buying anything Cards and blacking out their games. Bidwill can win me back by making the right moves but I think we're years from that happening thanks to these new contracts. I'm not sticking with this insanity anymore. 33 years of this ineptitude have been enough.
2018 when we went 3 & 13 didn't do it but the year we went 11 & 6 does after they extend the f.o. that got us to 11 wins? Strange but ok.

Why did Colt and Kliff's offense have one of the 5 worst QBRs (3 by rookies) of the season against the Panthers?

Or did they actually provide the blueprint of playing the Cards without Hopkins?

Maybe Kliff just didnt do a better job of helping Colt out that day.

And if he makes the same leap as he did every other year....he'll win 14 games next year.

I see tons of open receivers all of the time. The QB needs to continue to grow.
Want to bet on your over/under? We will make the line 13.5. I’ll take the under.

Oh, yeah, that's all coaching, right? It's not like there's a history of #1 overall pick QBs lead to massive improvements historically, and the playoffs by year 3, right? Talk about lack of depth in argument. I'll give you a nod for the humor, but the argument stinks. I mean, by your "logic," we'll eventually win more games than we play lol

Logic dictates that a record is limited by the number of games in a season and post-season.

Illogic is your 'weak sauce' ad infinitum argument.

But, then, you may be one of those sports fans who believe that 110% is greater than a 100% maximum sustained effort. ;)

At the end of 2018 there was at least some hope since they fired Wilks and we had Kyler as a new hope. Where's the glimmer of hope after last year's collapse? 11 wins was fools gold. What we saw for the last half of the season is closer to reality than what the first half was. This is a 5 win, 6 if lucky, team next year thanks to the position they're in due to Keim only signing geriatric players and not being able to draft. The future is bleak. This is also with Kyler only eating up about $11m on the cap. Just wait until he's getting $45m and there's $35m less to work with.

Anyone have those 2 charts that displayed how putrid Keim has been in the draft? One was something like wins added by pick and the other was value received for draft slot.

I believe we were second to last in one and dead last in the other.

But this post will be ignored by the IHKC.. twisted into you can say no wrong of kyler and Kliffy is an improving coach that we’d like to hold on to

Yes Colt beat at Seattle team that had scored less than 20 points TOTAL over a 3 game span as RW3 had just got back and clearly wasn’t himself. But carryon

Right... it's funny because the first tweet is outlining how the Lions (!!) figured out Kliff's offense, knew exactly what to do on 3rd down, and destroyed the play.

But the 2nd half struggles are Kyler's fault. Even at Texas Tech. Nothing do to with how simple and predictable our college offensive system is.

Bottom line is that we have a starting QB, a #1 target, a front 5 and backups, a 7 main rotation on the 'D" line, two young linebackers, a solid, if not spectacular CB, Safety group, etc. etc. and with a few cuts and contract adjustments we'll have enough to play in FA. To this add 1st., 2nd., and 3rd round picks.

It's hardly dire.

And don't tell me what is or isn't going to happen because of Keim, you and I simply don't know.
Go ahead and cling to your unicorn thoughts. I’m sticking with calling it the way I ( and many) see it.

The piece of this I struggle with is his babying of Kyler. Kyler needs to take pressure off of Kyler. Instead Kliff wears all of the blame instead of sharing it with our "franchise" QB.

That is the stuff that bugs me.
So... you want Kingsbury to publicly put some blame Murray?!?

It's a little bit of everything, some Kliff, some Kyler, but I'd argue the main component is vast improved rosters. People always seems to ignore this.

Look at the 2021 roster vs the 2019 roster. You don't have to wonder why one had 5 wins and the other had 11.

The corpses of David Johnson and Fitz were the two main offensive pieces until they traded for Drake. The ghost of Charles Clay was TE1. Shipley and Sweezy inside. Joe Walker started at linebacker. Jonathan Bullard started on the D line. Suggs stunk it up at OLB.

Nearly all these guys were done after that year, or close to it.

There are holes, but I'd say it's no worse than many teams. Most teams have a similar number of holes at the moment.

I punctured your argument, so you ignored that part of the post and focused on the other half. As expected.

I hadn't heard any blind KM defense from you in a long time. Did you think all the kM kerfuffle has blown over? Please, tell me how you're defending his recent childish behavior? What's the excuse this time?
